If 250,000 New York Driver's Licenses Do Not Match Social Security Data, How Many Voters are Illegally Registered?
FAIR Makes Formal Demand on New York Election Board
In light of recent revelations that New York Department of Motor Vehicles has issued as many as 250,000 driver's licenses to individuals who provided Social Security numbers that do not match information in the Social Security Administration's database, the Federation for American Immigration Reform (FAIR) is calling upon the state's Board of Elections to conduct a county by county review of voter rolls. Under the Motor Voter law, it is reasonable to "assume that large numbers of individuals have also been unlawfully registered to vote," state FAIR in a formal demand letter to Board of Elections Chair Carole Berman.
"After the 2000 voting fiasco in Florida, that included allegations of fraudulent voting in addition to the infamous hanging chads, it is vital that every state take precautions to prevent a repeat of the situation," cautioned Dan Stein, executive director of FAIR. "If the DMV found a quarter of a million improperly issued driver's licenses nearly the equivalent of the population of Buffalo there is a very strong possibility that large numbers of people are also improperly registered to vote, and may be in a position to decide a very tight election."
It is believed that a large percentage of the 250,000 individuals whose driver's license applications included erroneous Social Security information are illegal aliens. Because many people register to vote at the time they apply for a driver's license, it must be assumed by county registrars that a significant number of illegal aliens have also been added to voter rolls.
"We learned four years ago that when the integrity of the voter registration process is compromised, the outcome of elections including the presidency of the United States can be compromised," said Stein. "In the post-9/11 era, allowing people to obtain driver's licenses, voter registration cards and other state-issued ID is also a threat to security. It is a lesson that New Yorkers know better than anyone.
"The names and addresses of the 250,000 people identified by the DMV are right there on their licenses. It should not be a major undertaking to cross reference those names against county voter rolls," Stein continued. "What we are asking is that the Board of Elections live up to what is stated in its charter, which includes 'the preservation of citizen confidence in the democratic process and enhancement in voter participation in elections.' Making sure that illegal aliens are not casting votes in New York would seem to fit that description of the Board's responsibility." A copy of the letter can be obtained from FAIR.
thanks for the reply. was thinking more about my name.
bttt
What?? The name in Social Security is controlled by Social Security Number, which gets info from employer. HOWEVER a lot of retired people get their checks via direct deposit, so notifying Social Security isn't always their first priority....it doesn't mean that Social Security doesn't get the info, it is just delayed sometimes.
You sound confused, I never said anythimg about the names, that is "a given" as to link with number, but there is a form that must be filled out to change addresses, phone numbers or marital status with Social Security...HELLO!
<< "Lemme guess: They're all cab drivers ..."
Lemme guess. They're all Democrats. >>
Lemme guess, they all voted in Florida last time around too -- and couldn't tell punched chads for Pat Buchanan from the holes in their breakfast bagels.

Every one of that 250,000, pro rata, times 50 states.
For every illegal who awakens in the USA to trudge off to work at WalMart - another SS account number is either stolen or used to commit felony fraud...C'mon folks they're only doing the crimes Americans don't want to do!
They come here for a better life, "yours"
Not only that, but they laugh at us and call us racist if we don't like it.
somehow VISA and Mastercharge seem able to handle billions of transactions daily with electronic mag tech cards. My employer has used smart cards for years. Sure there are breaches but surely the credit card companies can handle the work - why can't the Social Security Administration?
SS fraud (and the sister crime of identity theft) is killing us - we've already proved that an Osama can't stop the heavy shoulders of American business - it's our political graft that may BK this economy ...
Because government workers have job security and no incentive to do the job right.
In this election, we need to make sure every vote counts.
There are seven million voters we need to reach in the next few days and we need your help. September 15 is the deadline in many states for Americans living overseas to register to vote and send in their ballot applications.
If you know any U.S. citizen living overseas, let them know they can get all the information they need and even fill out absentee ballot forms online by visiting:

Some states only require the last four digits of your social security number to prevent identity theft. | |

I do not have a Social Security number, click here |
Think about what that means: You cannot drive in NY unless you participate in a federal dependency program.
This is not a moot point. Participation in Social Security is voluntary (irrevocable once you sign up, which most do before they find out the downsides) - but NY will render you practically non-functional in society if you don't participate.
Have you seen this yet??
