North Korea: Two signs of explosions, on the night of 09/08, and the early morning of 09/09

A government source disclosed on Sept. 12 that two seismic activities were detected on the night of Sept. 8 and the early morning of Sept. 9, from the explosion at Kim Hyong-jik County, Yanggang Province, N. Korea.

According to the source, both S. Korean and Chinese earthquake monitoring stations picked up from Yanggang Province area of N. Korea, " seismic activities presumably related to two explosions, one at 11pm on 09/08, and the other at 1am on 09/09."

Earlier, another key government figure revealed, "The incident occurred on the night of 09/08. Our government(S. Korean gov.) noticed a sign of trouble on the early morning of 09/09. That is pretty close to what happened. Before the mushroom cloud was observed on the morning of 09/09, we detected another sign of trouble."

Perhaps we should drop a battalian of OSHA inspectors into N. Korea.

Sounds like a job for Hans Blix.

So piecing the stories together it sounds like a munitions factory exploded about 11 PM on the 7th, followed by a forest fire and then a second explosion about 2 hours later on the 8th, possibly related to a missile factory or installation. No nuclear blast. No fake nuclear blast, just one heck of a series of explosive munitions accidents. ... I wonder if such munitions accidents are a common occurrence over time in N. Korea or a recent development. If recent development, is it a sign of internal dissention?

Oh man. The North Koreans better watch out for the U.N. I hear they're series about stuff like this.

I'll be in the shower. Keep me posted.

U.S. officials are still trying to work out what caused the explosion but are fairly certain it was not a nuclear test.

Could the Chinese have a mole working in these plants? There are lots of North Koreans in China, who know the language and could blend in well. After the detonation, the mole could easily slip back into China, especially since this happened near the border.

Why would it have to be invisible? It was night. They could have sent in a missile or 2 just as a message.

Sure they could. But why would they need someone on sight to blow something up? They have other methods.

"two explosions, one at 11pm on 09/08, and the other at 1am on 09/09."

If that is local time it would be an odd time for a nuclear test. And how did China see a mushroom cloud in the dark?
