Recent intel suggests that AQ has rebuilt it's mid-level infrastructure, even if the top tier seems to be feeling pressure. Recruiting is also supposed to be up as well. These are issues that Sageman does not seem to adress in the article. I think we all agree that it would be a major mistake to belittle the capabilities of al Qaida.
