The Threat Matrix

The title refers to a daily report given to the president of the United States detailing the most serious terrorist threats against the country. To tackle those threats, the government has formed a top-notch task force to infiltrate the terror cells and cut off the danger.

"Every morning, the president receives a list of the top ten terrorist threats - this list is known as the threat matrix."

We here at FR are trying to be in conjunction with the daily reports around the world that involve threats. We try to provide a storehouse of information that takes hours of research.

Muslim group takes responsibility for 9-11: 'We are so sorry'

This September 11 marks the third unforgettable anniversary of the worst mass murder in American history.

After September 11, many in the Muslim world chose denial and hallucination rather than face up to the sad fact that Muslims perpetrated the 9-11 terrorist acts and that we have an enormous problem with extremism and support for terrorism. Many Muslims, including religious leaders, and "intellectuals" blamed 9-11 on a Jewish conspiracy and went as far as fabricating a tale that 4000 Jews did not show up for work in the World Trade Center on 9-11. Yet others blamed 9-11 on an American right wing conspiracy or the U.S. Government which allegedly wanted an excuse to invade Iraq and "steal" Iraqi oil.

BA flight diverted due to security alert

A British Airways plane has been diverted to Amsterdam Airport because of a security alert.

A BA spokesman in London said it had received a threat to the aircraft.

The flight from Berlin to London was escorted to Amsterdam by two Dutch F-16 fighter jets. (snip)

Suspicious Package Prompts Evacuation Of Post Office, Disruption At School


JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- A briefcase in a shopping cart in front of the Kings Road post office closed that street to traffic and disrupted activity at both the post office and an elementary school across the street for nearly an hour

Postal authorities alerted police, who responded about 8:30 a.m. with members of the bomb squad. The general mail facility and several homes and businesses in the immediate area were evacuated, and students at John E. Ford Elementary were moved away from the street.

In just under an hour, police announced the brief case did no contain anything dangerous and everything returned to normal. (snip)

S.D. school crisis plan is found on disk in Iraq
No threat seen to district; children are safe, police say

>>A man arrested by U.S. authorities in Iraq had a computer disk in his possession containing a public report downloaded from a U.S. Department of Education Web site on crisis planning in school districts, including San Diego Unified.

The man was described as an Iraqi national with connections to terrorism and the insurgency that is fighting U.S. forces in Iraq. Officials in San Diego said the man's intentions were unknown. <<

When I read this article in this mornings paper I was absolutely livid! There just is not any good reason for a terrorist to have plans such as these. On and on in this article the police keep saying that this is not a threat, don't worry, nothing to see here, move along.
