CBS's alphabet rivals have an interesting decision to make. They can destroy the competition by pursuing this, but that would mean destroying the Kerry campaign in the process. Will they accept that kind of collateral damage?

I think ABC has decided to try and keep a little credibility for itself and for the MSM and not go down with the CBS ship.

Plus, they may have realized it's over for Kerry and have decided to bail.

I'm thinking it's more like they're going to abandon the sinking swift boat. Kerry's toast. Why would the alphabets put their necks out for a sure loser?

You know.....I think they would be willing to do that. Their ratings are in the tanker anyway, so why not do something to create some excitement for them? If ABC is still pushing this, then I'd say yeah....they're willing to go for it.

Besides, it looks Kerry is pretty much a loser at this point. Much as they tried, they couldn't pull it off.

They may also be "going for the jugular" with going after CBS?
