No, not convenient: damning. Only *original* documents can ever, ever, ever, ever, ever be fully authenticated as real.
No copy can ever be authenticated 100%.
CBS admits that it has *never* had the originals. Thus, CBS is admiting that it published a story based upon documents (read: copies) that can't be authenticated.
On the other hand, copies can be proven to be fakes/forgeries.
...And that's all that CBS has, copies...

Seems all their 'witnesses' are dead. As you say how convient. BUT if you had the originals wouldn't you want the items I listed tested as I suggested? Making an airtight case?
Where are the originals? They have to be someplace.
Why would a reputable news agency run with a document that existed only in photocopies? How could they have any assurance of authenticity?
