Hannity just said a story will be filed later today that from sources inside CBS that the source of the documents is also the one who provided the Abu Grihab prison photos.
I'm shocked, SHOCKED that C-BS, as the official network of the Clintonistas, created the memos out of thin air.
Does anyone here realize that Ashland Chemical Company and HALLIBURTON share the same Lawyers?!
.
</sarcasm>
The headings up top, with the addresses. No circa 1972 typewriter could center proportional fonts.
Great analysis in #421. Please send it to Rush and Sean.
When is Hannity or someone going to respond to the wild Democrat charges by picking up a copy of Kerry's request to be released from active duty so he could go work on his own campaign!!!!! And then he went to work with the VVAW instead!
Hannity and the rest of the media needs to keep a copy of that document with them AT ALL TIMES, imo! I get so frustrated that the Dems keep lying about Bush and it is going unchallenged!
Uh-oh. Look out....storm's a coming.
Everyone should check this out. This is going to get more complicated fast!
Interesting. What the devil is this?
(Which is my suggestion for an addition to that presentation, obviously) :-)
ARROGANCE
This site lists Mary Mapes as a producer for "60 Minutes II"

And my, oh my: it's document-tampering again.
Just in time for Halloween!!!
I don't even think I want to know what that means. :)
Khan----YOUR POST DESERVES ITS OWN THREAD---THE DOCUMENT WAS AVAILABLE ON THE INTERNET IN JANUARY! Send this to Powerlineblog.com and Drudge also, right away.
Amazing----what more can you find out.
The MS centering algorithm is shown in the 4 may 72 document. It it centered PERFECTLY, which was virtually impossible to do in 1972.
The "th" is ONLY ONE problem with the documents.
Rubbish!
"* The memos were written using a proportional typeface, where letters take up variable space according to their size, rather than fixed-pitch typeface used on typewriters, where each letter is allotted the same space. Proportional typefaces are available only on computers or on very high-end typewriters that were unlikely to be used by the National Guard.
* The memos include superscript, i.e. the "th" in "187th" appears above the line in a smaller font. Superscript was not available on typrwriters.
* The memos inclued "curly" apostrophes rather than straight apostrophes found on typewriters.
* The font used in the memos is Times Roman, which was in use for printing but not in typewriters. The Haas Atlas--the bible of fonts--does not list Times Roman as an available font for typewriters.
* The vertical spacing used in the memos, measured at 13 points, is not available in typewriters, and only became possible with the advent of computers."

This is a killer. What I'm getting here is that these documents were a hoax and were being sold on some web site. They escaped, though, and were taken as real by some dweeb, and ended up in Rather's lap.
Uh-oh. If this is correct, and it would be impossible to change the date on the Google page....hellzapoppin shortly.
Uffda!
The Secret Service probably doesn't monitor this website
