Hannity just said a story will be filed later today that from sources inside CBS that the source of the documents is also the one who provided the Abu Grihab prison photos.

They cant be proven to be legit, its impossible atthis point.

1. Family deny's they are from them, and they are his personal files.
2. Even if the ability to create documents like this were possible back then, the specter has been raised that too many variables exist to prove authenticity.
3. They need an unimpeachable individual from the unit he was there or even typed them in the colonels stead, either way that will create more questions.
4. The DOD themselves may have to be the arbitrator on this.

Jasper trial #3 will not move, but CBS does Judge Joe Bob Golden rejected a motion for change of venue in the dragging death trial of Shawn Berry. Golden ruled that the motion was filed by Berry's attorney to delay the trial. With this ruling the way was cleared for the Jasper County jury to hear opening arguments. In another note from Jasper, CBS producer Mary Mapes will not be going to jail. CBS attorneys and Jasper county prosecuters negotiated late into the night to reach a comprimise. CBS agreed to post the transcript of the interview on its web site and provide a copy of the transcript to Jasper county officials. In return Mapes would not go to jail and the tapes would not need to be provided. November 11, 1999

Actually (and this isn't picking nits), the question is their authenticity. A forgery is not authentic. DNC-BS hasn't offered to have independent experts examine the documents they have (copies of originals or originals themselves).

They've spent a couple of days asserting the docs' credibility, which is different.

They should just demand an answer "Dan, do you have the original, or do you have a copy?"

That's all anybody needs to ask Dan to prove the credibility of the source.

A good lawyer challenging the docs would ask that question and many others.

Which th are they talking about? If its the little one from May 4th memo it only appears one other place, the August 18th memo.
The first and the last covering 15 months. And typed th appears 2 times inbetween. The typed th in the letterhead is not being considered at this time(Typed letterhead is another problem). Can't wait to hear ol Blathers company spin on this one.
