Proof the CBS document BushGuardaugust1.pdf is a FAKE:
Original text, slightly adjusted for rectangular fit:
Same text, screen capture of document written in MS Word 2002 with no effort to match original aside from document width:
Overlapping images, with original as B/W negative:
Aside from slight warping presumably due to distortion introduced by a low-quality photocopier, the two texts line up exactly. The "30+ year old proof" against Bush is a fraud.
This is amazing if true.
It would have to be deliberate. Like you said.
In MS Word, if you type 1st and don't space, you get the superscript. If you space you don't get the superscript.
However, you can highlight the "st", go to "fonts", and remove the superscript and it stays next to the 1.

Forget the memo.
Rational replies on DU? Indications that there is intelligent, thoughtful life there. Ha!
Your quotes are fake.
Great work! BTTT.
Jim Angle did well on the document story. And yes, I did catch the Goler questions. What a 'rat hack!
All right, I've gotten this out to my e-mail list. Freepers, let's get this circulating to everyone we know on our email lists.
Again, ctdonath2, you're brilliant. Thank you!

Looks like you just got caught deceiving and defrauding the public with forged documents, Dan. And there's no way to keep a lid on it. It's all over the internet, talk radio, National Review. By tomorrow it will be everywhere. Couldn't have happened to a nicer guy.
Hasta La Vista, baby!
The 'Rats are desperate. They never had a candidate. Watch for falling rock on Nov. 2nd--landslide!
Bump!

The world paid a terrible price for the election of that traitor. We cannot allow that to happen again.
Yes, someone could have gone to the effort to format the spacing at certain places to try to cover their tracks. Hugh Hewitt is all over this now --- www.krla870.com.
awesome
My my my! FReepers are who I want in my foxhole! congratulations all of you, it never occurred to me these were forgeries!
When our office was being run by a suspected crook, a big shot Fortune 500 corporate person told me (over 10 years ago) to write memos and mail them to myself. The purpose was to have them independently date stamped in case I was ever implicated. But I suspect, in this case, some rabid partisans decided they could fill in a blank space in the Bush resume by using a dead man to author some memos.
Brit just mentioned the overlapping of the documents right now on Fox
Are you a producer on Fox News?
I experimented on my word program and I think found answer. If you use the letter l instead of the number 1, in word you get an exact sample of spacing that is in the orginal letter.
The problem with word is that as sson as you type the number 1 and the st after, it superscripts the st. To work around it, some people may have done different methods.
