Create a document in Microsoft Word and type "147th" with no space between the 147 and the th. It will automatically superscript the th. Now type "147 th" with a space between the 147 and the th. It will not superscript the th. If you look at the letters both forms occur and they are consistent with what Microsoft Word does. When there is no space, the th is superscript. When there is a space, the th is not superscript. These memos were written in Microsoft Word.
Yet another anomoly: there is only one space between sentences (well, the last two, which are the only back to bac sentences). That is an artifact of word processing software. Typists (even hunt and peck typists) would have most likely used the traditional two spaces between sentences.

After doing some research (more than CBS did) I have a forgery suspect. Is AWOL the source of these fraudulent documents? Of course this is only a suspicion and my opinion, but there are some things here that make me want to know more about the people behind this site and if they dabble in docs. I wonder if there is anything on this site that resembles the fake documents. Do you think?

This has turned quire funny. The only ones that should be concerned, if this were true, are VN vets. Most of us know this kind of thing went on and most of us don't care. It was a watse of time that will now cost them the whole election.

I am confused. One of the memos in question states, "I conveyed my verbal orders to commander; 147th Ftr Intrcp Gp with request for orders for suspension and convening of a flight review board IAW AFM 35-13."
According to what I can find (see http://www.e-publishing.af.mil/pubs/majcom.asp?org=ANG ) (see also http://www.afmc.wpafb.af.mil/pdl/ ) the 35-series of documents deals with Public Affairs issues, not disciplinary issues. And within the 35-series the publication 35-13 does not even exist.
What's up with that?
