"WE NEED TO SEE THOSE MEMOS AGAIN!"
I'll say. How convenient that they only made partial quotations of the whole memos. Who knows how out of context they were.

Agree... Where did they come from? Who do they belong to? Why were they made available at this time? Is this all the documents held by whoever owns them? Are there others that might be exculpatory to the allegations made tonight? This is a campaign advertisement disguised as a "news" program...

I was in the AF Reserve in 72 stationed at Ellington AFB (same as Bush). I was a personal clerk and was responsible for cutting numerous orders (mostly TDA, short term activations and reassignments).
I cannot speak for procedures at the TANG, but I assume they followed the same procedures that we did.
All of the memos showed a centered TYPED heading instead of being typed on letterhead (yes we used letterhead or standardized forms back then).
ALL order were typed on a standardized form.
As a personel clerk I spent a good deal of my time re-assigning people for temporary duty so they could make up missed meetings. It was VERY common for us to miss meetings for various reasons.
Our C130 guys were called up for an airlift operation just as I was getting off my initial 6 months of active duty. My seargent asked me to stay an extra week to help prepare orders. He said they couldn't pay me for it but he would allow me to miss my first 3 months of meetings. This was VERY common. I missed most of my last 3 years of meetings (being in personel had it's benefits).
