President Bush continued his bus tour of Missouri today with appearances at Lees Summit High School, in Lees Summit, Missouri, a stop at a business in Warrensburg, then on to the Missouri State Fair Coliseum in Sedalia for an Ask the President event, after having appeared before a crowd of 30,000 cheering supporters in Poplar Bluff last evening. The President is scheduled to travel through Missouri by bus for the rest of the day and return to the White House this evening.
Its a GOOD time to be a Bushbot! Enjoy your trip to Sanity Island on the Daily Dose!
I have family from WV and Kentucky. It's such peaceful countryside!
Truly God's country.
A Quaker like me loves to be in the most beautiful part of God's creation to have solitude and talk with him.
I've been to rock concerts with less enthusiasm!
Paul McCartney's came close, but there wasn't that feeling of "we're going to get something done together".
At Bush's rally, we all knew we were there to get pumped up and go out to work for his reelection!
You're a Quaker? God bless you.
Fantastic! I would love to be able to go to such an event. Our elections here are VERY different and there is no way that our Prime Minister would attract such enthusiasm.
One member of the public did throw at bag of cheese at PM Howard's feet the other day; one of the members of his own political party called him a "rodent" - so the person threw cheese at the "rodent" LOL Seriously though he could easily have had a gun; he got that close to him.
We are pretty laid back here about security to our heads of state; when President Bush visited Australia last year he brought all his security with him. We couldn't have coped on our own!
I wish we had these sort of rallies in the UK.
From day one I knew Kerry lacked the character to be the President and it was just a matter of time before everyone, who actually votes for a leader and not just their party, would figure him out. I see nothing but a downhill slide for Kerry from this point on. I say this because he has now hired the biggest slime balls in the country to run his campaign.
James Carville, Begala, Sussa and Whouly are the scum of the Earth, and none of them have ever lead a winning Presidential Campaign. Begals and Carville were hired by Clinton for the Mid-Term Elections of 1994 and were fired immediately after they lost over 50 Seats in the House and a bunch in the Senate. Sussa and Whouly worked for the painful Dukakis Campaign.
These guys have nowhere to go but down!
Are you at all worried about the Kitty Kelly book coming out, or any potential "october surprises" they might try?
At this point in time, can Kerry drop out to make room for Hillary?
Born and raised.
Thank you.
The only hawkish-Quaker in my family. It's a very hard position for me, my uncle is a "minister" and as such is very pacifist. I have to hold my own.
But I do. We HAVE to fight terror to survive.
Why would we fight to end slavery and the oppression of women but ignore oppressed people like the Afghans and Iraqis?
I'll just say, family dinners are spirited!
God bless you as well!
It was a GREAT rally! And then when they announced that Laura was there too, people went batty!
We were there from 9am-6:30pm but it was worth it. While we waited for Bush to show there were live bands and rock music. We all danced and sang, it was a big party!
Too bad you don't have anything like it, I think I lost 5 pounds from sweating!
Isn't this fun to have eye-witnesses to these events every day?!
And here I am, about to go to bed. ;o)
Thank you, Mike. I love your posts.
Boy, you got THAT right!
We look at picture after picture, day after day, and hardly ever see a bad one.
Cool, indeed!
If I may,
kitty kelley is just another moore/clarke/wilson and will look petty drudging up all of the junk that the author of "Fortunate Son" tried to throw at Bush before he killed himself.
This reeks of desperation.
Hillary has already announced her intentions for 2008. She's not ready yet...the spider is spinning her web...
I have classes in the afternoon, so it's not likely I can go.
I don't LIKE this class schedule!!!
Good night Ohio I hope your daughter is feeling better
(Maybe the poll numbers help?? Or probably just the screaming, chanting HUGE crowds!)
(I love him too!)
The BUSH TRAIN..........I LOVE it!
