Europe tried. Once. Remeber Crusades? Constantinople (a Christian city, second Rome) was burnt. Christian kingdoms in Palestine faild. And the invasion of Islam to Europe started.

Incorrect -- theIslamic invasion of Europe started when they crossed into the Iberian peninsula, or, as you would call it -- al Andalus. They were stopped by Charlemagne and finally kicked out by Isabella and Ferdinand of Spain (Viva España!). The Crusades were only trying to prevent the moon god worshippers from spreading their disease.

Thank for correcting me-almost forget about it. You are right in it, but any way Crusades had nothing to do with reconquista, and Balkans fell in Ottoman hands just after the Crusades. And do not forget, who burnt Constantinople first... These vere evil times, anyway
