I stand corrected.
A divided and non-nationalistic Europe was not capable of the sustained concentration of force needed to retake the Holy Land. The Black Death also made it just about impossible, after Europe lost 1/3 to 1/2 of its population by the end of the 14th century. I don't know why plague didn't decimate the Middle East as well, but it didn't.
Today, we can mass and wield such a concentration of force in the ME that literally no power there can stand against us. What constrains us are political and globalistic concerns - *not* military capability.
I'm so sick of these evil bastards.
I'm so sick of such stories not getting out to the American people.
I wonder how many of them thought that if they just obeyed that things would turn out fine.
They likely wanted to believe that no one could be as evil as these terrorists. It is difficult to imagine anyone being as sick as those bastards.
Also frightening is the risk posed by our own left wing, as subversive operatives in the war on terror. There should be no question about the war, the targets, etc. The 'enlightened' left including Kerry seem to think that we can negotiate or reason with terrorists.
Raping children is an official part of Islam. Mohammad was a pedophile. He "played" with a six year old girl for three years, and at age nine took her as his wife.
Yeah you are right. My bad.

There is no point saying what I feel - the moderator would only delete it.
The Israelis had a rash of school attacks by the Religion of Peace @ssholes about 30 years ago, and solved the problem by arming the teachers and allowing patrols of the grounds of schools by parents and grandparents. Something along the same lines wouldn't be a bad idea here or in Russia.
I'm the father of a 3-month old and a 3-year old. I cannot imagine the pain that those parents have experienced upon seeing their children dead and having to bury them, let alone the pain of knowing how they died. If something like that happened to either of mine, I don't know if I could contain my rage.
I hope that G-d can comfort the surviving children and adults, and especially the families of those who died, in some way, and provide a peaceful rest for the souls of those who were so brutally treated and then murdered. This is like something out of the Holocaust (though obviously on a far smaller scale) - a true horror story that is almost beyond imagining.
I also hope that the Russian government has both the people necessary to bring justice to those who made this event possible - and that the Russian government has the b@lls to actually unleash these people. Somehow, I don't think that this will be a problem, nor will the support of the Russian people be in question.
It is sad that Russia has had to suffer as it has for the last 2 weeks. Not that I have any great love for the country which oppressed my ancestors for centuries, mind you, but the victims here were all innocent of those crimes. Hopefully, the silver lining in this very dark cloud will be a very pissed off Russia that will be very vigorously on our side of the WOT.
That's what terrorists count on.
That's also why normally special forces try to rescue the hostages within 24 to 36 hours. After that, Stockholm Syndrome clicks in, and people will not only do anything the terrorists want, they will even defend them against their rescuers.
Even if only one out of every twenty of the children was Muslim,I would have expected the terrorists to release them.
=== There is no more questions as to who the enemy is or what must be done.
You're speaking of the Pope who's ready to return the Kazan icon on the basis that Government sanctioned canonization of the Romanovs and strongarming of "private" corporate sponsors to rebuild the Cathedral of Christ somehow translates to the "conversion of Russia"?
I don't think you're anywhere NEAR "knowing" who the Enemy is at this point.
Hi Eaker, just saw your ping as I was out of town for the weekend!
That person is not a christian....he's a muslim who wants to point the finger back at Christians. Ignore him....
I hope after the election Bush lets the gloves off and destroys these evil vermin like never before. I have a son and I would rather see every terrorist burn in hell than have my son held hostage. We must ask ourselves what is teh price we are willing to pay. If it is not our lives or the lives of our babies then the only alternative is to get serious in this war.
