THE full horror of the Russian school atrocity began to emerge yesterday as traumatised children told horrific tales of stabbed babies and brutal rapes.
It has also emerged that scores of the 323 who died - including many children - had been shot in the back.
While despairing soldiers and rescue workers moved among the growing pile of body bags, it was revealed that an 18-month-old baby had been repeatedly stabbed by a black-clad terrorist who had run out of ammunition.
Other survivors told how screaming teenage girls were dragged into rooms adjoining the gymnasium where they were being held and raped by their Chechen captors who chillingly made a video film of their appalling exploits
They said children were forced to drink their own urine and eat the petals off the flowers they had brought their teachers after nearly three days without food or water in the stifling hot gym.
Their stories came as Russian officials warned that the final death toll of the siege of Middle School No 1 at Beslan in North Ossetia - in which up to 1,200 people were held captive - was likely to be more than 400.
The official toll yesterday stood at 323 which included 156 children, 10 Russian soldiers and two emergency service workers - 35 of the hostage-takers were also killed. Last night 434 people were being treated in hospital with 247 children and 85 adults in a critical condition.
A Russian official said six seriously injured children had been taken to Moscow for treatment.
"One of them is a child, just 18 months old, with many knife wounds," he said.

If there are references in the MSM to this horrific event, you can be sure that they won't characterize these barbarians as terrorists. The MSM is loathe to use that description and usually finds more delicate terms for them such as "militants", "rebels", "armed captors", etc.
Also the Arabs have been terrorizing and murdering millions of people in the Sudan --- the media simply ignores that. Many Sudanese children have been raped and then killed by Muslims including Arabs there.
I'm breathing a sigh of relief now.
I have done myself a favor and not watched tv at all till today for the storm coverage. I've been cutting on freeping because news is very depressing. I feel that since I'm not the government or a Marine or someone like that, that I should devote myself to prayer and fasting.
I suspect Mecca is a World Heritage site. We would need approval from the UN. /sarcasm
Actually the human race needs to clean up some of its heritage.
Every time Muslims do some big atrocities, Muslim apologists come on FR to try to condescendly tell us why there should never be any retaliation of any kind against the Muslims. You'll hear stories condemning someone who scribbled some anti-Muslim graffitti and those calling anyone who shows any outrage over Muslim violence a Nazi. The apologists will explain that this only involved the handful of militants involved, no money was collected for them from other Muslims, no mosques were involved in recruiting or training of them, they funded themselves and on and on.

Up till recently it was the mirror situation, hordes of troops going into schools and murdering christian children. Don't worry, they'll manage. About all I have seen on TV for the last two or three days are reporters standing on beaches telling me it's windy and raining where they are. Oh yeah, along with an occasional worshipful update on every minute detail of Clinton's hospital stay. Even Fox has jumped on the bandwagon.
Question for American media;
How many times per hour is it necessary to show video of leaning palm trees, shuddering signposts, flashing blue lights, and wildly swaying traffic signals? How often is Clinton's medical condition report revised and need to be updated for the public? More to the point, how can you people in good conscience almost ignore the damning news that would expose Islam's unspeakably evil, vile, dangerous nature for all the nation to see if only it was shown?
And finally, after the past few weeks how can you possibly expect the American people to believe your claim that you hold no bias AGAINST traditional American values and conservatism, or no bias FOR Islam, or for any and all leftist/anti-American "causes"?
I'm not surprised. In the short time I've been here, I've always known you to have a tender heart. I can't imagine you wanting to see the body bags.
Yes, I'm aware of that, as a Christian, I am aware. Many congregations speak to that situation. For a long time it was the ONLY place you could hear of that slaughter was in the literature at a church--that is a travesty--no media coverage at all. I know it has been going on for years because I remember reading about it in our church in AZ and we've been gone from there for 3 yrs.

Thanks :-) Sometimes I can be too sensitive, and maybe in the past such a thing would get me too depressed. All I have a headache right now, and only because I'm remembering hearing a mother cry at the funeral. It was a wail of a very unnatural quality. I will not forget it anytime soon.
