THE full horror of the Russian school atrocity began to emerge yesterday as traumatised children told horrific tales of stabbed babies and brutal rapes.
It has also emerged that scores of the 323 who died - including many children - had been shot in the back.
While despairing soldiers and rescue workers moved among the growing pile of body bags, it was revealed that an 18-month-old baby had been repeatedly stabbed by a black-clad terrorist who had run out of ammunition.
Other survivors told how screaming teenage girls were dragged into rooms adjoining the gymnasium where they were being held and raped by their Chechen captors who chillingly made a video film of their appalling exploits
They said children were forced to drink their own urine and eat the petals off the flowers they had brought their teachers after nearly three days without food or water in the stifling hot gym.
Their stories came as Russian officials warned that the final death toll of the siege of Middle School No 1 at Beslan in North Ossetia - in which up to 1,200 people were held captive - was likely to be more than 400.
The official toll yesterday stood at 323 which included 156 children, 10 Russian soldiers and two emergency service workers - 35 of the hostage-takers were also killed. Last night 434 people were being treated in hospital with 247 children and 85 adults in a critical condition.
A Russian official said six seriously injured children had been taken to Moscow for treatment.
"One of them is a child, just 18 months old, with many knife wounds," he said.

The media, motivated by ratings, only saw fit to cover it as the massacre was unfolding. In the aftermath we now know the whole story of this barbaric act of terrorism yet the media can't even fit in one tribute or segment to discuss it. Since it happened "over there" they don't think it's important. When will the sheeple wake up. I understand the hurricane is a big story and needs to be reported.....but all day, non-stop?

Absolutely, this is something I harp on with leftist friends. their petty little wants won't mean anything if they are all dead at the hands of Muslim militants. I used to be worried, but the more I hear of blue collar(read union) in this country throwing their support behind Bush, the more I think we are going to see a Reaganesque landslide--back then people knew that national security was more important too, hopefully they are doing the same today and realizing overtime, healthcare, and homosexual hedonists marrying one another are but non issues next to the Muslim threat.For our own survival, now is the time to unite against this threat, not groan for our individual needs and wants.

The Vatican has condemned attacks like these every time they occur. Words are no longer enough. Christendom must ACT.
Should be a lesson to "moderate" Muslims. The one who found his conscience was beheaded. Moderate Muslims are signing their own death warrant too the longer they stay silent.
If not this Pope, then the next.
I hope this comes across in the spirit I write this, but I hope Jerry Lewis opens his telethon with a prayer for these children. Not to generate more revenue, he's got my money already, but to send a message to Russia so big they hear it from here.

Was just watching a news channel.....not FNC.....and they showed a funeral. People carrying large wooden crosses......you could only see the very bottom of what they were carrying. Not the entire cross.
More likely found his cowardice. LOL.
Everyone in the church was watching and listening to everything I said.
My Pastor agreed and we all Prayed.
I refuse to be politically correct and call a spade a spade.
The people know me in my church and come to expect suprises from me with my opinions.
