This is unbelievable!

It's been said for a long time that the Democrats have a 3-legged stool: blacks, unions, and women. I would have inserted a 4th leg: the media.

Is it possible we're going to see 2, maybe 3, of those legs collapse...all in one election cycle?!! They've lost the media...the blogosphere, Fox and talk radio have won. Bush may outpoll Kerry among women...especially without the media megaphone.

Now, if blacks start falling away...it's just unbelievable. I'm actually beginning to consider that the donkey party may go the way of the Whigs...in my lifetime!

I hear you. I've always said that blacks have more in common with Pat Robertson than they do with Bill Clinton. And I think Roberston cares more about them then Clinton does but you won't read that in the NY Times any day soon.

I knew a man that worked on the LBJ ranch as a diesel mechanic. His ancestry was half German and half Mexican. He had dark coloring. He said that minorities always thought of LBJ as a hero, but having worked for LBJ, he knew better. He said that LBJ was THE most racist person that he had ever met, and that he treated the minority employees on his ranch like dogs (himself included). He had no respect at all for LBJ.

Our AM Legion post commander is African-American, and he said there is grumblings in his church about the homosexual marriage and abortion issues which will impact how they vote. He's voting for Bush, sees hanoi john for what he is.

That's an interesting description of independence, someone who could only vote for a Democrat!

Well, at least getting 90 percent of their vote is coming to an end.

If it even drops to 80%, they're doomed. And all the lawyers in the world couldn't help them if it drops to 70%.

If you look at the things blacks say are important, they sound like republicans except for one area: racial quotes and special treatment. Get them over that hump and you'll start to see some real changes!

So while black voters may disagree with most of the conservative wing of the party, the GOP's approach to fixing the education gap is worth considering.

You might be surprised at how little you disagree with the conservative wing of the party. Once you overcome the fear of listening to what we have to say, you just might find out it is what you have always believed in your heart.

Conservatives have been painted a certain way, and that is the only way people will look at them. They have never listened to the reasons why we believe what we do.

Hip Hip Hooray! We need more black and Jewish "keynoters" who take the first step publicly and admit that being lockstep Democrats has not brought them anything, and indeed that the Democrats fight AGAINST what these minorities fight FOR.

It takes a set of brass ones to get out there and risk the (ignorant) scorn of your friends and family, but soon the rest will also see the truth.

the dam might just break

I looks like it finally is. There is a black softball team in the league and they finally let me on their team. A couple groused about it and quit, but the rest were okay with it. I think Cristianity is the lever that finally moved the boulder away from the mouth of the tomb.
