He is doing great. This was last Thanksgiving.
My husband had to have an Aortic Valve and 3 bypasses done back in 1993. He never had a heart attack but tests showed he had a leaky valve and blockages. Since he had an artificial valve he had to be on blood thinner (Coumadin) for the rest of his life. That is a catch 22. If blood to thick it could build up on his valve and break off and cause a stroke. If too thin he could have a bleed through. Which is what happened to him almost 3 years ago. He had a bleed in the brain and was in the rehab for a month. Paralyzed on his left side, but he finally came out of it pretty well. It slowed him down alot. He has to get his blood (pro-time) checked every two weeks to make sure the consistency is in the right range.
