We can't very well exterminate the entire Middle East to solve the problem

I think neutrino would disagree.

Damn the innocents, kill them all, right?

Oh, I know: "There aren't any innocent 'mooslimes'". Yeah, right. Tell that to the Muslim Iraqis touring America giving thanks for our liberation.

He was giving them what they wanted up to that point. They were negotiating. The end would be better for them to have Putin storm in and the deaths blamed on the actions of Putin/military, like in the theater.

(See if you can do it without including the phrase "nuke Mecca.")

Why not? Our enemies love death, the more "martyrs" the better. They could care less. We will eventually use the leverage of what DOES matter to the worldwide islamofascist movement.

Mecca, Medina etc.

Putting them on the table for discussion as counter strike options may be the only way to force "moderate muslims" to confront the evil in their midst.

And if they still will not confront the evil in their midst, then that is an answer as to their true loyalty: to the global spread of islamofascism.

You ever hear of sarcasm? Perhaps not.

These people, who hide behind terrorism and the kidnapping of children need to be eliminated, just made to go away. Quietly would be the best way, just disappeared.

If that doesn't work, a new Crusade would work well.

I hope Putin strikes hard, as hard as he can.

Okay, Professor, why don't you just tell us how it's done. (See if you can do it without including the phrase "nuke Mecca.")

ROFL! I can see their knees quivering, trying not to jerk, because you took that avenue away.

I say it and say it again. Especially on FR. Because our leadership is doing great injustice to both Moderate Muslims and Christians by refusing to identify the enemy - Wahhabism. So, we as conservatives, are swinging arms in the darkness, mainly hitting ourselves. Americans are good in their hearts. The media is using tough detergents though.

I am vastly relieved that you were being sarcastic because it was not obvious that you were.

I am off to google to find out about Valley Forge hostage taking.

I think some of us were hoping he'd have something to say, I don't recall anyone "demanding." Unfortunately, the terrorist scum are probably taking notes on this--and laying down plans to pull a number like this over here. I don't think they'll like the reaction they get, but they've never been very smart about these things. They sure underestimated this President--mistook him for Clinton, I suspect, and thought he'd send a missile into a tent in Afghanistan for retaliation.

Horrible. I picture my 2 1/2 year old in that situation. He's as "big and tough" as his older brothers. But would he know enough to run, or would he even be able to in the chaos. Probably not. With explosions, gunfire, and other people rushing to get out, I would imagine most 2 year olds would probably hit the floor and cry.

This is a scenario similar to one I posed to my two older children when I caught them playing with matches. It went something like this:

Boys, our house was built in the 1940's out of wood. That wood is very dry. If this house were to catch on fire, it would burn to the foundation in an instant. Your two baby brothers would not be able to get out. They, like our family pets, would have an instinct to try and hide. Under a bed, in the closet, under a blanket, etc. and they would probably cry for mommy or daddy or bubby to come and get them so they would no longer have to be scared or in pain. If you play with fire, you run a huge risk of setting the entire house on fire. Not only will you lose your toys and your video games, you will most likely cause the deaths of our two dogs, two cats, and two beautiful little toddler boys who are your brothers and look up to you. Would you like to go through life knowing that you broke the rules, got careless with fire, and killed your own flesh and blood as well as destroyed your house and everything in it?

They were 10 and 8 at the time and have never so much as picked up a match or lighter (not that we have that many to begin with) since.

Do some research before accusing me of being against Pres. Bush. And leave the name-calling on the playground. If you can't engage in an adult conversation, then don't open your pie-hole.

Grampa, we're all feeling a lot of angst right now. I gave R4E the benefit of the doubt. I think he's just thinking outloud. The problem with demanding that the president get tougher than he is will sound disarmingly simple. It forces his hand. He has to win the election; that's job #1. The Democrats have already chosen someone who would let this happen in 20 schools in one day across America and still not do anything beyond calling the U.N. Job #2 in this situation for the president is to give Putin some elbow room. Job #3 is to call Homeland Security light fires people until he gets an explanation as to what our plans are. Job #4 is to go public and express condolences to the Russian people -- and solidarity. In fact, I would like to see the Russian flag flying with ours today.

Some of this stuff reminds of over a year ago when Freepers were blaming GW for the phoney looting of the Baghdad museum.

Until this election is over and Kerry sent home to Ma Ma T Rex, we don't need whiners upset over some perceived wrong by GW.

Mecca has to be on the table. It is not just a holy city but it is involved in two of the five pillars of Islam. Moslems kneel/bow/pray facing Mecca and ... are required to make a pilgrimage to that city if their situation permits it. Infidels are not allowed there.

If Islamic terrorism escalates to the point where dirty bombs or a single atomic bomb explodes in the U.S., then Mecca should not be destroyed but taken and held and changed into something off limits to Islam.

If outside agitators like George $oreA$$ financed this act of terror

I've heard this a couple of times. What would make you think that Soreass had something to do with this?

Iodine-131. Strontium-90.

See how easy that was?
