Fellow FReepers, let us all join together and pray for our brothers and sisters in the path of Frances. Many are still being afflicted by the ravages of the first two hurricanes, and the effects of a third may be unimaginable. Thank you all in advance!
Please, Father God, cause Frances to lose strength, veer off-course away from populated areas, or simply not cause terrible damage or loss of life. We ask this in YOur Son's divine name...Amen!
Prayers sent! Be safe and be smart out there, Florida!
Prayers going up.
I'd like to add David, his mom, and also Dawn and her family.
Joining you in prayer
Prayers sent!
Father, please extend Your protection to these dear souls as well. Hide them from the approaching storm and let no harm befall them in any way.
Thanks. The folks down-state haven't even recovered from Charlie, (shortages, damage, etc.etc) and now they're taking this one seriously and trying to leave early. I've heard that I-75 and 95 are grid-locked. Only going to get worse as more get on the road. Keep praying...
Thanks for starting this thread. Getting nervous, here.
Thank you. I am one of them in the possible path (North Broward co). Faith and prayers will get us through this.
Right now it looks so beautiful. It's hard to believe that something as destructive as Hurr Frances is coming our way.
Praying for all those in harms way, and for those that have family and friends in harms way.
Yes, I stand in agreement with Aracelis.
I stand in agreement with both of you.
Prayer bump.
My son and his two buddies are trying to hi-tail it out of there now.
Great Merciful God,
You are the Creator of all, of the heavens and the earth, the Creator of calms as well as storms. You alone, are worthy of praise and you allow your servants the privilege to utter both our praises and our concerns before you. Happy are we who lift our voices to praise your name!
Now, O Lord of Perfect Majesty, we call upon you for your merciful consideration. Not that we are deserving of your thoughtfulness, but because you are a merciful God. We humbly bring our petition before you. We know you control the winds of the heavens, that you control the paths of storms. Now, O Lord, I plead that you consider to steer this storm back to sea, that men may see your mighty hand is among your servants, that they may stand amazed at your wonderful works, and that they may glorify your name as their Creator, their God.
I plead this cause before you, not because of any worthiness found among men, but because you are always righteous in your judgements and yet merciful in your dealings with those who call upon your most holy name.
I plead as your servant, hidden in Christ my Lord.
Heavenly Father, please hold all in the path of this storm in your loving hands.
Amen
Agreeing with all of you in prayer...
Add my younger brother Andrew to the list (he is in the panhandle, but I still worry anyway).
