WASHINGTON, Sept. 1 /U.S. Newswire/ -- In response to today's outrageous attacks on John Kerry's service by Karl Rove, former Georgia Senator Max Cleland and former Nebraska Senator Bob Kerrey made the following statements
Senator Max Cleland:
"Karl Rove was behind it all, it's part of his smear campaign to tarnish to tarnish the records and service of Vietnam Veterans, and now he's doing it again. I find it interesting that three different people have had to resign from basically the Bush Campaign and their official duties because of this ad, because they are all tied together."
Senator Bob Kerrey:
"If the question is whether or not there is any independence left between the campaign and these swift boat ads, that question has now been answered. Karl Rove has been in enough political campaigns to understand how separate you need to be from these independent efforts and he just ended that separation. If Ginsberg resigned, so should he."
(At link litany of old accusations follow)
Congressman John Coyers, Jr
"Coyers" s/b "Conyers".
They're definitely very determined. But--so are we.
Ping to # 197 and then go to 200
You may want to join in.
Yes they are determined, but the press, and I mean all the press including Fox etc will not report this type of information.
You know that a lot of VVAW members went to the Soviet Union during the 1968-1972 time frame.
When he started off as Senator he had a guy on his staff named Gary (Gareth) Porter who was from the KGB/Cuban-linked think tank Institute for Policy Studies. There's a little on him here:
Kerry, the Sandinistas, and the Institute for Policy Studies (IPS)

*dizzy*---This is too bizarre. We are dealing with truly crazy people with almost half of the voting public supporting them.
Kerrey and Cleland are a pair of disgraced losers reduced to being cheap political hacks. They both used their Vietnam service to get elected, and they're pissed that kerry is getting called on his lies trying to do the same thing.
That's the way I used to feel when I visited the Democratic forums (I'm a recovering liberal myself...like alcoholism, its a lifetime process).
Their whining is what has made Unfit For COmmand a bestseller.
I am ashamed that John Robert Kerrey is from Nebraska since I live in Nebraska. When he was our "governor" in the 1980s, his main interest was not the welfare of the state of Nebraska but none other than Debra Winger! Kerrey, being divorced at the time, was responsible for Debra Winger being a frequent guest at the governor's mansion. She would sometimes stay for more than a week and was given the use of a state car (she actually drove it herself), and I am sure a bedboard was standard equipment overnight. Kerrey played at being our "governor" and was given a free pass by the media since he was a CMH winner and had "lost a leg" in Vietnam. Kerrey never corrected the continual reference in the press to his "lost leg" and people were led to believe he had lost his leg at the hip. The truth is that Kerrey lost the part of his leg from 6 inches above his ankle on down. He still has over 90% of that leg. I don't wish the loss of any part of a leg on anyone but Kerrey perpetuated the myth that his whole leg had been blown away. His arrogant, sneering attitude has no place in our great country. The sooner his sorry face is off my TV screen the better. (I wish I could tell you how I really feel!)
I second your wanting to get rid of Ben Nelson.
In your dreams!
I'm ashamed Kerrey is from The United States!
Where does Kerry get off asking anyone to resign. As far as I know he is just a used up Dem. So what if he was in the Senate. He is just another Nebraska Corn Husker now.
That's exactly the passage I was talking about. Not a single media outlet reported it.
