The 50-foot Swift boats were easy targets as they plowed through the waterways of the Mekong Delta in packs of three or four . . .

Unless of course they are picking up people you made fall overboard and the boats are nearly still. In that case they are nearly impossible to hit.

And while Kerry may be worried about veterans' support in America, Sinh said he would vote any day for his former enemy over President Bush. In the veteran's opinion, Kerry's experience along these rivers fighting Viet Cong might keep him from sending other young Americans to invade countries.

Maybe Kerry should run for President of Vietnam.

This has to be one of the more slanted 'AP via NYTimes' articles I've seen.

Edwards has already contacted this guy. Since Edwards
will need a new job on 03 Nov, he's planning to
represent Sinh in a personal injury suit against Kerry.

Sinh said. ``He deserves the medal.'

Was this VC ON Kerry's boat? Then how can he know if Kerry deserved the medal???

"BAY HAP RIVER"

That's how it was spelled in the recent "Reconstructing the Bay Hap River Incident" type stories.

The Kerrylites are fantasizing that he bravery is the foremost issue. It's the Purple hearts.

BTW, the "B-40" reference was specifically implanted to match Kerry's after action report.

If not meant as a joke, this article is disinformation.

Yeah, they're not even trying to hide their feelings. I was going to say that this reads like a Democratic press release. But even the Democrats have more sense than to put out this kind of endorsement from a communist enemy without seeing the irony. That's something that only the MSM could imagine doing.

How man man-hours do you suppose the Slimes put into finding this one guy?

Did the NY Times rehire Jason Blair and give him this assignment? Sounds like pure horse-pucky to me ...

Well, all-righty then!!! That should settle things!

I got no problem with Kerry's four months. I have a problem with the rules changing. In 1971 it was OK for one guy to testify, using hearsay, that 2,000,000 vets other than himself were baby killers, but he was proud of his personal service.

But in 2004 it is not OK for vets to criticise another vet's service. How convenient.

No surprise that a Charlie, Viet Cong, worships Kerry.

Considering that the Viet Cong can't comprehend attacking Kerry's war record, it's clear that I need to give up. Kerry is a genuine war hero!

Exactly. The only thing that's consistent is their lust for power. Everything else is "situational," and changes at their will depending on how it helps or hurts their quest for power.

NY Times believes the VC, but not 240 Swift Boat Veterans for Truth members, American sailors?
Amazing isn't it? Truly hard to believe.

NY Times believes the VC,

Wouldn't actually surprise me if the NYT made up the VC. How exactly would he identify a battle that took place 30-35 years ago in a 20-year war if he doesn't know Kerry (or anything else to distinguish it from perhaps hundreds of battles)? I just find it hard to picture

Excellent response -- Most Swift Boat veterans spent a whole year in country (unless they got shot first) and were in danger most of the time. They have a legitimate right to tell their tale. If Kerry was a opportunistic hot-dogger who endangered the others, I imagine they were happy to see him go so they could go about their job with one fewer problem.

For a view of the relationship between my unit (Coast Guard Squadron One) and the swifties, visit this thread:

It was easy to find this guy. Vietnam is a communist tyranny -- they just have to check in with their comrades at the Ministry of Propaganda, who will happily provide someone to cheerfully give the party line. Whoever they pick will say whatever they want -- if he ever wants to eat again.
