Gee, I wonder if Russert's going to be this hostile with Her Thighness...
Rudy now pointing out that f'ing's 19 year record in the senate is never mentioned!
Rudy should have said "Tim, in my party I'm free to disagree with people on any and every issue. When's the last time a pro life candidate was allowed to speak at a DNC function?"
Sen. Miller addressed this on FNCF. Miller said that there is room in the Republican party for libs, modrates, and conservatives. Used to be true for the Democrat party, too, but not any more.
Russert has always been a a$$hole.
"Russert--accuse[d] rudy of putting lipstick ona pig when referring to our party platform--what an a-hole Russert has become."
I loved Rudy's rejoinder: "Am I the lipstick or the pig?"
Too bad Russert didn't answer. The correct answer is: "lipstick". The metaphor is, morality is a pig(morality that opposes killing babies and calling homosexual perversion "marriage"). Rudy, since he supports these social issues (and Schwarzenegger too) are the lipstick.
Rudy did a fine job supporting the President and giving rational answers to very biased questions. Unless the Republican party moves far to the left, or abandons its Christian supporters, I don't see how Pataki or Guilianni can become the Republican nominee in 2008. They might be a VP.
I think the best nominee in 2008 would be Jeb Bush. Tommy Thompson might be #2.
