How?

In other words, Cheney opposes making sodomy punishable by law.

It does not mean that he thinks sodomy is great, advantageous, or deserving of support and special rights.

Dick Cheney's position on this is already known. His daughter is a lesbian. He loves her as a dad should. He may not support her behavior but wants her to be happy.

Never said gays should marry.

Typical media spin.

The Democrats also oppose gay marriage, but defend a gay couple's rights to the same legal protections as those conferred in marriage.

We are against it even though we are for it. Is the public gullible enough to buy that.

Geez, she not gay. She's a lesbian. If she was gay, then PFLAG and LGBT would be redundant.

That stand put Cheney at odds with his wife. Last month, Lynne Cheney said states should have the final say over the legal status of personal relationships, a comment that came just days before the Senate failed to back the ban.

What stand is "at odds" here? Because he suggests there is law, the DoM Act, that addresses the issue? That he supports the people of a state having a say in the defining of marriage rather than judicial fiat?

Obviously the statements can be construed anyway you want depending on your bias.

I would tolerate gays, because they are human and have the same rights as everyone.

it's their world as much as it is ours.

But i would never support or praise gay relationships, because it's something that is against basic human nature and simply sick.

Gay activist are attempting to turn Mary Cheney against her father. I am not surprised since the gay activists are clearly repelled by the idea of family.

The gay activist are a small part of the people with a gay sexual orientation. I am not gay, but one of my children is. Through her I have met many other gay women. They are almost all disgusted by the gay activists attempting to use their sexual orientation as a political weapon. Being gay does not make one a left wing, anti-patriotic, socialist idiot. Beign gay is being gay. Being a left wing nut is being a left wing nut.

Please help run interference for Mary from the nuts' attack on her Dad. They have a web site where they are encouraging people to send emails to Mary. Mary needs to know that we rally appreciate her dad and that we are disgusted by the nuts' attempt to use her.

Vist the site, http://www.dearmary.com/ and send a letter of support to Mary.

"People ought to be free to enter into any kind of relationship they want to."

I don't think so. You don't have to imagine the perverted, wrong kinds of relationships many people would want to enter in to. Homosexuals, pedophiles and animal lovers have made it clear among other pervertors.

Has anyone listened to radio
newbreaks? I have, where I get
Hannity, & the guy said "Cheney
made it clear he disagrees with
his boss about amending the Const.
to define marriage as btw a man &
woman". Went on to quote Cheney
saying he believes in freedom to
enter chosen relationships, & he
thinks states should decide what
relationships will get official
gov. recognition.

At no time did I hear Cheney use
the President's wording to back
Bush's proposal to define marriage
as btw a man & woman.

?????

Being a serial killer is a lifestyle choice. And it's a choice anyone here has a right to make. Let's go out there now and parade for the rights of legalized serial killing. It's a lifestyle afterall. And what right does the government have to regulate what goes on in the privacy of one's bedroom..

This is just the Democrats digging around in the dirt for ANYTHING to print that even MIGHT be construed as a break in the Bush administration. This morning yahoo ran an article entitled "Cheney Major Force in Bush Administration" like he's some Cuban revolutionary coming up to stab Bush in the back. Anything they can dig up to print, they will. But then they print about the Swifties, now they're dishonest. Okee. Got it. What a bunch of biased crud.

Pillars of salt they will be, just as Lot and family found out! The warning in the Bible was not just for Sodom and Gomorah, they were just made the example for the rest of time.

Earlier the same day Cheney attended a fund raiser for Kris Kobach, Republican candidate for Congress in Kansas 3rd District. In his first TV commercials that aired last week, Kobach said that his priority is passage of an amendment banning gay marriages. Now the Vice President calls it a state issue. No doubt Moore will try and use Cheney's comments to paint Kobach as so extreme that he's out of touch with his own party leadership.
