I agree with you that homosexuality is not a "nuance."
But my message did not describe it as such. Again, you must read more carefully. By "nuance," I clearly referred to the fine points of what Cheney was saying or not saying, not to homosexuality itself.

I wonder about the support system among those in the room; a relationship of mutual respect between two people of the same sex or an opposite sex relationship with spousal abuse?
To: Howlin
They've been saying the same thing since 1999; it's their daughter, FGS.""
Figures you'd be for gay marriage. Liberal.

Figures you'd be for gay marriage. Liberal. I never said any such thing.
But, of course, you are a documented liar.

I've been wondering. Do you avoid reasoned argument because you're too stupid to engage in it or are you just a coward? Your baseless accusations and pathetic insults are boring.Gosh, this is weird: you and I actually agree on something. :-)

Try reading the post, before your answer a different query. LOL

Homosexual relationships certainly create undefined legal status, particularly if children are involved, or if the homosexual couple wants to have children by another father or mother.
Why is that? What is the (legal, not ethical) difference between a heterosexual or a homosexual couple adopting a child? In both cases you have to distinguish between birth mother & father as well as custodial parents.
Yet homosexual behavior is a horrible public health hazard, responsible for the deaths of hundreds of thousands of people
Huh? Like what? Don't give me HIV and other STDs. This has nothing to do with homosexuality but everything with promiscuity and unprotected sex.

Cheney's position is close to mine, except that I support nationalized gay marriage, but only if done by the legislative branch, and signed by the executive.

"But if you want to indulge in personal attacks, i suggest you dedicate a separate thread to it."
And then a classic: "Btw you do realize that you are sick and need professional help."
You're either suspended, in which case we get to go over why there are SO many things wrong with your two statements here, or you're banned and we are reprieved from having to hear such statements from you as "I was away for seven days to show you how little I think of you."

"Dear, it's time to take your medication again..."
How about discussing issues and keep the personal attacks to yourself, OK?

There is no way to make what he said pretty. Unless he said more than I've heard and that was edited.

I disagree with what he said and I think he was dead wrong.
But I don't think it amounts to a blanket endorsement of sodomy.

"all because of their sicko daughter"
Prove she's sicko. What exactly is "sicko" anyway? What makes you so healthy? I thought Christ loves everyone, sicko's included. Being a homosexual might be a sin (allowing that EVERYTHING in the bible is unquestionably accurate, true, etc.), but it didn't even make one of the 10 commandments. On the sin-meter, that puts it right up there with "don't beat your slaves" and "forgive your debters every 7 years" (or however that goes).
I'm disappointed in Cheney for not speaking his mind sooner on the matter.
