It's top billing for two reasons: one, the networks and cable are forced to cover it because Kerry himself responded to the SVFT with an ad in two states. Two, the nature of the coverage is "This is a Bush smear campaign." Note the special graphs by the New York Times.

I was referring to MSNBC coverage before Kerry responded a few days ago, but yes, the response has fueld coverage even more.

Agreed, as I already said. I was referring to quantity.
