Should every Freeper get one of these 'Kerry Kits' for their own 'information' (and to deplete the supply of these 'propaganda' marketing tools?
Should someone file a complaint with the FEC since this is clearly a violation that 527s are not supposed to promote a particular candidate. The Kerry Kit promotes Kerry. It is not general issues oriented material.
From the short clip on the order page I gathered that....Kerry's testimony before Congress in 1971 is spun as an act of heroism.
I doubt that the Swift Vets fro Truth & POWs tortured by the Viet Cong using Kerry's word would concur.
What are your thoughts on this subject?
Do you have any suggestions or should this just be ignored?
That my understanding too. That's why 527s are suited for negative campaigning because they can tear down their guys opponent as much as their money lets them.
ANY THOUGHTS!!??? For God's sake, go online and file a complaint. Right now. Just do it. Obviously this is a 527 organization that is supporting a candidate. You don't have to be an attorney to file a complaint. To paraphrase the environmental movement: "Think lefty, act conservatively." A leftist wouldn't hestitate for one minute about using the power of the state of intimidate opponents. FILE THAT COMPLAINT WITH THE FEDERAL ELECTION COMMISSION. If the FEC is like any other agency, they are legally obligated to act upon your complaint. If you get no action, be a royal pain in the ass until they do what you want. *sheesh* </ranting and raving>

This is a clear violation of Federal Election Law in my opinion. You should contact the Federal Election Commission and the Bush Campaign.
Does anyone know how to actually reach someone in the campaign who's high enough to take some kind of action.
I just sent a copy of your post to a guy I know on the swifties. They are getting a lot of heat from the media about being a 527 with ties to Bush Campaign.
I suggested that each time one of their guys goes on a TV show that they should show a copy of the kit.
Does anyone have kits available to them today? Three weeks is a lifetime in this fast-moving campaign
This sounds like a CLEAR violation of campaign finance law. These 527 groups are suppose to be barred from promoting a particular candidate. The CAN promote issue adds - but NOT A SPECIFIC candidate.
Where's the FEC on this?????
If these 527's are supposed to be neutral and aren't allowed to promote any candidate, how do they get away with sending out these Kerry Kits? Or does that rule only apply for TV ads?
I want one. In time it will fetch a fortune on eBay.
Then, as they arrive, I'll put them through the shredder.
527's are not supposed to coordinate with a candidate. They can promote what they like.

Sign up everybody you know to get a kit and than promptly throw them in the garbage when they arrive in your mailbox.
I just received an email saying mine shipped. It specifically notes that if it is not delivered by 7 Sept, to contact them. Think they will send me another? Or two or three?
