They hate us, all of us, because we are not Leftists.

The Islamic fanatics hate us, all of us, because we are not believers.

The leftists think they can make an accomodation with Islam.

Fools.

....to confront some truths that they didn't want to confront in their well ordered world.....

corollary thought....... they thought the question of war and peace had been decided and they won. There would be no more war. They had seen to it. War was obsolete.

They did not realize that war is the normal condition of human existance and peace is interregnum.

Therefore my tagline.....peace is halftime.

They have kept up a big lie about the Viet Nam War for over 30 years and it is great danger of being exposed as a lie.

The final history of VN for posterity is now being re-written (correctly) by the last living generation that experienced it first hand.

What's 30 years when 100+ years from now school children will be taught that is was just one theatre of the cold-war, and that while the US might have lost that particular battle due to insider collusion, the war in total was won 14 years after Siagon fell.

No, I didn't write it. Varifrank wrote it. Instapundit linked to it and I posted it on FR. I have been cruising the blogs looking for Kerry melt down stuff. Years from now historians will be discussing the pivotal roll blogs played in the Election of 2004.

These are great times we are living in, bro.

But you already knew that.

Before that there was Nixon hatred.

... Which does indeed get us back to Vietnam.

Agree with all of your points except the last one. Nixon was hated because he went after the left's darling, Alger Hiss. And later Ben Bradlee, the Washington Post editor and Kennedy butt-boy, picked up the cause, partly in an effort to push some sort of warped pro-Kennedy agenda. IMO, Watergate was vengeance for Hiss and for the dead Kennedys. Of course there was Vietnam as well, but Nixon's original sin, was as you say, being anti-communist.

Having said all of that, today's left has managed to twist up all of their hatred and boil it down and distill it down until it is highly purified anti-Bush venom. I guess, if there was some other strong anti-islam, anti-terror, anti-abortion, anti-french, anti-NYTimes etc. etc. leader then maybe they would hate that guy just as much - probably so. But the today's left has made this a highly personal vendetta against our courageous wartime president and thus they have defined the battle and the battlefield. All we have to do is to win it and win it we must.

That article is right on.
Back in the days when Phil Donahue was doing his anti America programs he would have the children of the rich business owners and operators. They would come against the rich and disown their families and the Corporations they ran. They were in line to inherit the family fortunes.

During that time the anti war demonstrators decide they would go to law school and take the country over that way.

It is all coming together and we are in a war with those people to save our country. It is vital we win.

Kerry meltdown you say?
http://www.lesjones.com/
Under questioning from Wallace, Hurley acknowledged that Kerry was wrong about the date, but maintains Kerry was five miles inside Cambodia at a different date.

Chris Wallace (CW): Let me pursue that. What proof do you have that John Kerry was ever five miles inside Cambodia?
John Hurley (JH): John Kerry's word.
CW: Do you have a single record?
JH: No. I do not. John Kerry was in Cambodia. They have requested to drop off various operations group and deliver various supplies. They were in there. His crew will say the same thing.
CW: Well, you say the crew. He's had crew members who have stood up and defended him on almost everything else. Do you have a single crew member who's come forward to say he was five miles inside Cambodia?
JH: This hasn't been an issue until really recently. And why we're going back now and revisiting where John Kerry was on a single night in 1968 is beyond me. The same questions can be asked of President Bush. Where was he when he was supposed to be reporting for duty in Alabama.
....

ROFLMAO!!! .... was it 'seared in his memory'???
"This hasnt been an issue"!! Poor man - relying on WashPost for his news - upgrade him to a cable modem pronto!!

Soon, we will have to get back to economic news:
http://www.nabe.com/publib/indsum.htm
"By almost any measure—output, employment, profit margins, capital spending—this economy is strong,” said Duncan Meldrum

PS. I am expecting my internet addiction to be cured november 4.

You are right 100% ... the left hated that Nixon did Hiss in and then the pink Senator he defeated in 1950. that's why I said they hated Nixon for "BEING A STRONG ANTI-COMMUNIST".

I understand it goes way back. Ickes, the man who runs one of the Bush-hating 527s, is the son of the New Dealer leftwing bigshot Ickes who was one of FDR's Secretarys (interior?).

Many of the 60s leftists were red-diaper babies of 1930s Communists. Many radical kids today have been acculturated by the left-wing dominated institutions the 60s leftists have taken over.

The Beat Goes On.

We are going to have to write the history of THIS ELECTION AND THIS WAR OUR WAY OR WE WILL HAVE A GENERATION OF PAIN WATCHING IT WRITTEN BY THE LEFT.

Their hate of Bush about "lying about WMDs" is shallow.
here are Democrats talking about WMDs - just like Bush did:

It's a long establihed verity that you can tell a lot about someone by looking at their enemies. If in fact and in truth there are some ubersnakes that want the K-flopper to lose, but don't want the party he stands with destroyed, and are involved in bleeding him, they're riding a tiger...

'tis interesting that the clintonoids (with the possible exception of hack lanny davis) have been strangely silent lately. Maybe hitlery knows the dirt on ketchup boy and knows to keep her nose out of that steaming pile.
