I knew I could never vote for McCain to be the leader of the free world.
You need to be WAY more level headed than that, to be the one that could potentially push the button.
McCain may be bitter...but let's not forget that what "happened to him" during the primaries in 2000 is nothing more than what McCain himself tried to do to GWB.
He threatened and intimidated vets who questioned his commitment to the POW families and then he bashed the Christian Coalition.
And that's the true definition of self inflicted wounds.

McCain is still bitter over not receiving RNC support in '96. He wanted the nomination, but it was Dole's "turn" to get it. All the CFR stuff was to innoculate him over his Keating 5 corruption, and it was about that time that he realized that the road to Old Media support was to oppose fellow Republicans.
