MTP on early because of the Olympics. sKerry guy says story of Cambodia is true?
tim russert talking about swifties and moveon
MTP: Is that IT on Cambodia??? C'mon,Tim...nail him down!
(I'm an incurable optimist)
Steve Malzberg is my absolute favorite. When I can't sleep(which is often) I listen to his show on 770 out of NYC. It's one of the best.
My comment: Kerry is committing an atrocity NOW in damning the Swiftboat vets.
LOL!
Kerry's spokesman just said:
"We said one thing in the morning before we said another thing in the afternoon".
I have MTP on first here. Tim is doing a pretty balanced job of bringing up problems on both sides and allowing answers. Now putting Devine to the test of Cambodia. Bringing up MoveOn.Org ad. Devine says Kerry denounced it. Russert brings up the Clarke/Stansfield presser where they parroted the ad. Devine says the Swifties are liars. We'll see who wins this one.
Podesta is visibly angry and defensive. When was he on a swift boat and how many times in this segment can he bring up Bush in National guard. I found the two cavity comment offensive.
John Podesta squirming and interrupting ala Oliphant....
Bless you for watching. O'Neill has the truth on his side, he knows the essential and material points of contention, and will draw the debate back to them, and he has citations for his assertions. What is a real riot is that many of the citations are Kerry's own, as recapitulated by Brinkley.
For example, regarding Rood, the Swiftees point of material contention is the presence of numberically superior enemy, and intense enemy fire when Kerry decide to turn his boat toward the beach. IIRC, Rood's story is that thewere 2 VC on the beach (that is not numerical superiority), and on the material point of contention, Rood and the Swiftees agree. On the matter of the condition, age, garb and/or armament of the single VC, O'Neill will say those differences are not relevant to the material point of contention. "So what?" in essence.
Now they are onto Cambodia--Good!
Did you catch the part where Devine said:
"We [the Kerry campaign] said one thing in THE MORNING before we said something else in THE AFTERNOON"!
He has Kerryitis!
Even his fellow comrades in the Vietnam Veterans Against the War figured out he was a phony.
On October 10, 1971, the first source advised that Kerry's speech was received by local VVAW supporters as a clear indication that Kerry is an opportunist with political aspirations.
Therefore, the source advised, support has been withdrawn from the New York City office in general and John Kerry in particular.
The Cambodia story won't make it,pathetic reply by Hurley and I believe Odell's story...Hurley was not there....Wallace is doing a good job of asking both hard questions..Hurley was a VVAW....and Hurley is fogging the Winter Soldier testimony.....
Hurley is a mouthpiece and Odell was on the same river in a swift boat..Who do I trust???hmmmm
My head's gonna explode.
Thanks. A picture is worth a thousand words or three hot links...LOL
