I missed it but by all accounts Dole was the most firm he's probably ever been, since the war. Good for Dole, an honorable man.

I thought this could be the time (3 decades late) when the healing could begin.

God bless you and your fellow Vietnam Vets.

I think it's time to set the record straight:

  1. Vietnam was a war fought for a noble cause-stopping the spread of Communism.
  2. The Vietnam war was fought bravely by honorable men, and war crimes were probably less common than in previous wars.
  3. Our military defeated the enemy, but the democrat Congress cut off aid to South Vietnam, sealing their fate.

......and that Kerry admits his charges were excessive and due to his youth.............

This is an admission that he was lying.

Bump to what you said.

Vietnam vets are grandparents now - and it is time for their children and grandchildren to say proudly that their father or grandfather served honorably.

If senator Kerry still maintains that is not the truth, he needs to be shut down in the voting booth.

I think you have it exactly right. Unfortunately, in the name of face time, McCain is selling out his brothers once again. (Love the pic!)

Could there be a court martial recommendation in his records for the treason he committed in Paris????

His sycophants are still trying to make excuses for his statements. Somehow I don't think all those vets whose lives were ruined by his charges will 'understand' his excuse.

Is this a Kerry ad "I approve this ad", or by a 527?

The Swifties can run Ads forever: :)

IRS Acts to Enforce 527 Reporting

Under federal law, the 527 groups cannot coordinate their ads with the presidential campaigns. But if they use individual donations, rather than labor union or corporate donations, they can run ads praising or attacking a candidate right up until election day.

But, but, but...Rood wasn't in the boat with Kerry, so he's not credible. Isn't that what they said before when the other Swifties tried to tell their version. (end/sarcasm)

I've heard a couple of MSM reporters this morning refer to Rood as "serving with John Kerry" (even though he wasn't on the same boat). I'm glad that the point about what constitutes "serving with John Kerry" has now been settled. :>)

Under federal law, the 527 groups cannot coordinate their ads with the presidential campaigns.

And that is why Kerry and the Lib Media keep harping about Bush coming out against JUST the swiftboat vets

Then Kerry and the Lib can say SEE SEE, I Told you so and knock the Vets off the air

Kerry and the Libs are spitting mad that President Bush said he was against ALL the 527's

It wasn't the answer they wanted him to give

Saw an ad this a.m. for his next show -- will be asking hard-hitting questions about the Swift Boat Vets (could have been an old ad for last weeks show, though).

Britt brings up the Washington Post story. The Viet war record will come back to damage his campaign.

Is that story posted?

I was skimming through what is now over 600 posts on this thread and I caught this:

MEET THE PRESS: Starts out by showing ads from both sides. Tad Snarling upper lip Devine and Ken Mehlman rpresenting Bush.

I was working out at the "Y" the other night and Tad Devine was being interviewed on the TV (couldn't hear the sound)

And yes he sure does speak with a snarl. More specifically, it was the right side of his face that had the snarl. The left side was neutral.

What a slime ball!

I know I'm slow but "too busy" for what?

I guess there must be much more to it? LOL

Seems like they are swinging wildly or I guess thrashing about.
