Excellent!

BUSH HAS THE INITIATIVE, PEOPLE!!!!

Kerry is off his game going into our convention!!! The Swift Vets have derailed his campaign with a couple of hundred thousand dollars. The Dems had George Soros, Hollywood money, Michael Moore, and everyone in the Propaganda Ministry on their side. The Swift Vets had only their stories and a little money.

The battle is being fought on a terrain of our choosing, not his. He is going to talk about what happened in the early seventies.

PEOPLE DON'T CARE ABOUT WHAT HAPPENED IN THE EARLY SEVENTIES, THEY WANT TO KNOW WHAT THE CANDIDATE WILL DO FOR THEM NOW!

I'm pinging the Tator because, several months ago when everyone was panicking, he said that something like this would happen to Kerry around the time of our convention. Tator didn't predict Swiftboats, but he did insist that Kerry's support would begin to erode about this time due to the objective factors in the economy.

People in Ohio aren't lining up to collect unemployment. The car lots are selling cars. Not as many as they'd like, but they are selling cars. The frieght trucks are on the highways. And people are dining out a lot.

I work in the kitchens department of Home Depot (when I'm not doing research for my novel, Panzer Lehr). People are coming in to buy kitchens from American Woodmark, Kraftmaid, and Home Depot's two protected lines, Premier and Thomasville (we bought the name: Schrock in Pennsylvania makes the cabinetry). Next time you are on the highway on a long trip, check how many Kraftmaid trucks you see making deliveries to their distribution centers in Orlando, Atlanta, Memphis, Los Angeles, Salt Lake, etc.. I bet you see several, especially if you're travelling interstate.

People are coming in to buy kitchens on credit because they've re-fied, or they've got good credit, or they feel they can afford to make the payments on the loan for the kitchen. People are voting with their pocketbooks.

Bush will focus like a laser on what is happening now, and will provide detailed proposals for a second term. It may be the tax thing, it may not. But Bush is as bold as Kerry is cautious, which is why I think Bush will sieze the initiative for good in New York.

Kerry's Achilles' Heel has been wounded by those he thought would support him. His shameless pumping up of his own service record relative to other Swift Boat Veterans has brought about the karmic justice that Tator, myself and others predicted would come to pass. To paraphrase Gandalf the White, we have arrived at the Turn of the Tide.

Be Seeing You,

Chris

I always pictured you as a Supreme Court Justice. Funny.

Maybe. You could well be correct, but there is a side of me, based on the prior history of Democrat tactics, that suspects that they have only been forced into unleashing a trick or two early. It is just extremely hard to believe that the top Dem operatives were stupid enough to think that they could overhype and make center stage Kerry's Vietnam experience and all the baggage surrounding it without taking some severe negative hits. Thus I wonder if this has been planned to sooner or later be in a position to declare that because "The Bush campaign has gone dirty" they have no choice but to fight back with suprise mega dirt(most likely minor, but enough for the media to completely misportray into a damaging myth.)

IOW, debute one of the DUI-style bombshells that they've had 4 years to uncover, develop, and fabricate enough pieces to sell a faux storyline. Create a 'both side are dirty'/'I don't know what to believe'/'I'm so sick of it' dirt quagmire.

Chris Lehane didn't take a 4 year vacation.

"The Swift Vets have derailed his campaign with a couple of hundred thousand dollars."

Sweet, isn't it?

"The Swift Vets had only their stories and a little money."

And the truth.

How cool! I ALWAYS stop and read every section9 post when I see that cool avatar. Concise and insightful. And now I envision some hip anime/sci-fi fan and novelist helping folks in Home-Depot!

Chris...have you revealed your sex? Does that sound creepy?
