WASHINGTON, Aug. 20 /U.S. Newswire/ -- Kerry-Edwards campaign spokesman Chad Clanton released the following statement today about the new Swift Boat Veterans for Bush ad:

"This is another ad from a front group funded by Bush allies that is trying to smear John Kerry. The newest ad takes Kerry's testimony out of context, editing what he said to distort the facts. He testified as a 27 year-old Vietnam veteran. He opposed a war that, at that point, cost over 44,000 lives of the 58,245 names that are on the Vietnam Memorial wall. It says a lot that the President refuses to condemn this smear. The American people want to hear how we're going to cut health care costs and strengthen the economy, not smears."

Kerry's botox is beginning to drip out.
Time to inject this reject.

The MSM is spinning that the first out is all Karl Rove's handywork. They are much more interested in the Swift Boat Vets political contributors (you and I) then they are in their allegations. That's all I have seen reported on in the MSM. But wait until this second ad hits the airwaves. I saw a clip from it on MSNBC at lunch. Notice I said only a clip because the ad is JUST TO DAMNING to be shown in it's entirety by the Lame stream media. That coupled with wide distribution of the book and Kerry will be "sucking wind" soon.

Just wait till they get to the commercial that quotes N. Viet and VC military types on the impact of Kerry's group on the outcome of the war.

Tell that to Amazon and Barnes and Noble, lol! I think they'd respectfully disagree.

And his traitorous actions accelerated the number to 58,245.

I would like to hear John Kerry point out even 1 thing in the new ad that is not true. I am skeptical of anything that looks like a smear campaign, but honestly, what is untrue about this ad? All the ad does is show John Kerry's statements and gives testimony from vietnam vets saying how it hurt them. What is untrue about that? what is illegal about that?

This is another ad from a front group funded by Bush allies that is trying to smear John Kerry.

He forgot the key part of the script: the ad is replacing the "now discredited" ad that "lied about" Kerry's bronze star. That was why the Washpost published their piece of crap yesterday so that it could be used as proof that the Swifties switched ads today because of it.

but only his guy Soros and his wife have
the money to fund an ad like that, and we
KNOW they wouldn't dare air the TRUTH!

Soros and Terri don't have enough money to fix this

These Vets can't be bought .. they can't be scared away either

This is about HONOR .. Something Kerry can't buy

The bulk of the "smearing" in the new ad is by Kerry himself.

And I don't know how the Kerry campaign can claim anything was edited or taken out of context. That's an unedited part of his testimony. You couldn't put all of his Senate testimony in a 30 second commercial.

Remember that Kerry was still a Naval Reserve Officer when he testified before the Senate. And he was wearing his ribbons on fatigues, in violation of military regulations.

John F'n Kerry is a self-serving POS.

Smears? I believe that is precisely what the vets are accusing Kerry of. Seems relevant to me. They are entitled to tell their story. Let the people decide for themselves after hearing all sides.

Kerry looked downright waxy yesterday.

The DUmmies have posted a flyer that is supposedly from a local Republican party office, that advertises a rally with a number of Republican groups - and the Swiftvets for Truth. Since this office is also the local BC'04 headquarters, the DUmmies are orgasmic, pointing to this as proof of collaboration.

Excuse me, I have to go shower now...

My husband just watched the ad on my computer.

He said I can donate more money to the Swifties.

Yes, he has to be toast after this ad plays.
