"I stand in awe. The strategy of the vets is absolutely impeccable."

- Somewhere, in behind the Swift Boat Vet group is someone with a lot of media savvy who has thought this campaign through for a long, long time. I've noticed how quick the Swifties get out their rebuttal press releases almost immediately as soon as the MSM tries to cover for Kerry's lies. It's as if every move has been anticipated and allowed for. Now, with the POW's into the picture at just the point where the MSM have committed themselves to the fray, they have been completely snookered and must either trash the POW's (unthinkable) or slink away.
BWAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!

The one thing that doesn't make sense in this whole thing is that this campaign has obviously been planned for a long time -- but how could anyone have known that Kerry would make his Vietnam service the focal point of his convention speech?

These ads are devastating, but I suspect they would have been far less effective if the Kerry campaign had been pursuing a different campaign strategy.

How about someone with a lot of "military strategy" savvy? This was an absolutely brilliant *military* campaign. The first ad was primarily a "feint," and this ad is the true incursion. While the enemies were trying to beat back the "feint" (he said/he said, brown book tactics, sliming the swiftvets, attacking their funders) and using up their ammunition, the new ad is a stealth attack when the enemy is otherwise occupied.

How are the enemies (rats, MSM media) going to fight back? It's not like this is "he said/he said," they can't attack Prisoners of War with impunity on their "divorce records", etc., and now that the new ad is being paid for by the "little people" (i.e., *us*) they can't even be condemned as the product of "rich" Republican donors with ties to G.H.W. Bush. Brilliant military tactics!

I think you do them a disservice. Their success in their endeavors post Vietnam show that they are plenty smart enough, and savvy enough, to have planned this "guerrilla campaign" on their own. After all they all got trained by those masters of unconventional warfare the VC and NVA.
