The Kerry campaign calls on a publisher to 'withdraw book' written by group of veterans, claiming veterans are lying about Kerry's service in Vietnam and operating as a front organization for Bush. Kerry campaign has told Salon.com that the publisher of UNFIT FOR COMMAND is 'retailing a hoax'... 'No publisher should want to be selling books with proven falsehoods in them,' Kerry campaign spokesman Chad Clanton tells the online mag... Developing...
It would be hilarious if Michael Moore gave a press conference vehemently defending the rights of Americans to lie about presidential candidates.
Bump!
And the difference is?
Either case it is off the shelf because only the publisher has the license to print.
And such a decision is being called for by the campaign of someone who wants to run the country--and who is already a public official.
Sounds like a "quack, quack" to me.
Wow, the Bush campaign said nothing about Farenheit 911.
Well, not yet. Kerry seems to have asked book sellers to voluntarily not sell the book. It seems like a stupid request. I didn't hear W asking theaters to voluntarily not show F911 though. I can't wait for November.
What I find unbelieveable is that he can be a hero to both sides?????
You are a hero to one and a traitor to the other.
It's a little late sKerry. The book is out, the horses have left the barn, Elvis has left the building, and your goose is cooked.
This statement by Kerry's shills should be faxed to EVERY VFW etc, so that the Vets know exactly what Kerry thinks about THEIR right to free speech. He is very dangerous, he retaliated against his first wife when she asked for an increase in Child Support.
I won't be wrong.
Perfect publicity for the book -- watch the sales skyrocket now!
ping for later read
What'd he say?
Do you remember how trying to ban F/911 made more people want to see it? Too bad there isn't a Cannes for new political books.
Do you believe Kerry or the Veterans?
Right now it's 50/50.
They won't be able to cry "falsehood" with the new Swiftvet ad.
It uses Kerry's own testimony before Congress about Vietnam.

I think this is just the tip, wait till the book comes out.
I'm still waiting for the DNC to try and stop that from being released.

Looks like my wait is over.
Don't count chickens before they hatch.
The sympathy for the left is strong. I hope you are right however.
They shouldn't do that. It would be blown out of proportion as an act of desperation.
