One of the guys down in the delta in the Area of Operation that Kerry says these events took place is Armitage...Colin Powells friend...and undersecretary..
He could debunk anything Kerry says as far as intel goes or prisoners treatment...
It is a hand held generator with a voltmeter used to generate enough voltage to break down the insulation. You would connect one lead to ground and one lead to the electrical wiring. You would then hand crank the generator and the faster you would crank it the more voltage it would generate.
This device would knock you on your butt with just a small movement of the crank.
If you lick a 9 volt battery to see if it is charged you will get a little tingle..IIRC in the 60's they made small 22 1/2 volt photoflash batteries, don't try it with those.......
It's not the voltage that gets you, it's the amperage.
Well then Kerry ADMITS he is guilty of a war crime. Read www.judicialwatch.org the requested DOD to check a few things, including possible Kerry war crimes
I had a similar treatment in OCS (not on the genitals thank God), believe it a 12V DC battery can knock you out. Come to think of it thjey treated us a lot worse the Iraqi POW's.
Darn. I thought this was a story about attaching wires to John "the Human Genital" Kerry.
But seriously, you can attach a megger to phone wire and give someone a pretty good jolt. (We used to pull gags like getting some nub to hold the ends of the shore phone line and going below and running a megger against it when I was in the Navy).
It is the ring voltage that bites you, 90VAC. Ever touch phone wires while the phone is ringing? Ouch!
The phone operates on 24-48 VDC talk battery. That will not hurt you.
Telephones can put out a substantial shock with the "pulses" from a dialer. I have experienced that feeling, and would certainly not want it on my genitals...

what that idiot means is the Feild phone was a "Crank Phone" meaning you crank it to call the other end,.. meaning the phone itself causes an electrical charge.
Those phones never really made any electricity to speak of by the way.
A hand cranked generator works exactly like a siren, the faster you crank the louder it gets. :>)
My car has a twelve volt battery and your're gonna have a hell of a struggle on your hands if you try to wire me up to that. It's the amperage you're need to know to determine how much damage electricity will do.
Kerry made this up - He never did it. He wanted to, but he never got the opportnity to exercize this one fetish of his...
