If you come for a visit, make sure to make it a trip in the late summer. Our Mountains and prairies are best enjoyed with the top down, cruising the highways, or better yet, on the back of a mountain bike.
Though I love to ski, I find most visitors enjoy the summer wild flowers in Grand Mesa the best.
BTW, aside from downtown Denver and the PRB (Peoples Republic of Boulder) people are sane and polite here (read: Conservative).

I have a problem with dry eyes and it was very hot the whole trip so we had to travel with the A/C blower fans on full force. Turned around in Kansas City where it was 104, with the trip becoming too miserable to continue. Guess we should fly out there but I had always wanted to have that view of the Rockies from a distance where you're driving towards them.
Would spring or fall be a good time to go, I just can't travel in the hot summer anymore. I've heard that spring is the rainy season in CO.
