"On December 24, 1968 Lieutenant John Kerry and his crew were on patrol in the watery borders between Vietnam and Cambodia deep in enemy territory. In the early afternoon, Kerry's boat, PCF-44, was at Sa Dec and then headed north to the Cambodian border. There, Kerry and his crew along with two other boats were ambushed, taking fire from both sides of the river, and after the firefight were fired upon again. Later that evening during their night patrol they came under friendly fire.
Certainly, the officers and crew of the two other boats could easily verify the details of this story, including the locations of these events.

Thanks for the repost of Leislers summary.
Something else bothers me - how long could those boats run without refueling? I mean, two 500 HP outboards can suck some serious fuel.
I have heard a four to six hour run by a Swift boat from where JF*K was stationed to the border. Was that flat out? That means he needed fuel for an 8 hour run, plus ammo, plus SEALs and their gear.
It would seen to me that it is the wrong type of boat in any case for that mission. Too slow, too noisy. Helo insertion seems to be the only way to go.

His actual time on boats was three months. I've seen something like only 18 patrols.

Kerry with his Swift Boat Crew in Scambodia. Kerry is wearing his CIA hat that came from Richard Nixon.

It would be interesting to learn if his crew will also testify that they participated in these missions in Cambodia. Let's see how far they will go to lie for this scoundrel. Three of the five PCF-44 enlisted crew members have said that they weren't in Cambodia. The other two haven't said one way or the other.

Okay, so 3 months on boats, 18 patrols and only 6 weeks or so actually commanding one of these boats.
There's just no question in my mind that influential people were pulling strings for him. He got way more special treatment than any of the others in Coast 11. Ted Kennedy?

The truth shall make him well. Let's get him, Freepers! I mean help him. Hell! You know what I mean.
I thought that after Gore acknowledged he lost in 2000, for a while at least, he seemed a lot more relaxed.
As opposed to on the campaign trail, especially at the debate podium, where he seemed to hold his body in weird and subtly shifting poses. Wilhelm Reich's theory of psycho/muscular "body armor" came to mind.
