Okay, so this guy says he is straight, but followed a gay governor who was doing everything he could to play up to him, all the way from Israel to the US.

The only way that makes sense is if the Guv had a huge crush on the guy and kept on doing favors for him for over a year without getting anything in return. That would fit a sexual harassment situation, but seems a bit far-fetched.
