I've been in an equivalent Typhoon.......on Guam.

145mph is an enormous danger, especially with the low elevation of Florida. While the winds will wreck havoc, the surge and the rain could cause a MAJOR disaster.

When were you on Guam? I was there from '96-'99. Got hit by several Typhoon's including Paka. That one really sucked.

I lived there too, but missed out on any (thank GOD!!). Just tropical storms. The bad one that could have hit turned and hit Saipan. Missed the BIG earthquake by about 2 months and I think the year after we left, there was the super typhoon around Christmas?? I think the year before we came was the year they had 5 hit the island if I remember correctly!
