I just looked at the Wilmington radar, and it looks as though my area should be pretty windy and rainy by now, but it's not. Just a little rain, and no breeze to speak of. I went to bed late and got up early, so I'm going to take a nap before it starts getting really bad.
There were quite a few reports of tornadoes associated with Hurricane Charley yesterday as the outer squalls spiraled about the hurricane. This threat will continue today especially over the eastern Carolinas as Charley moves from coastal South Carolina inland over eastern North Carolina and then the Chesapeake Bay and Delaware Bay area as Charley continues northeastward tonight. Charley is now a minimal category one hurricane as it makes a second U.S. landfall in easternmost South Carolina. Charley is becoming a victim of strong upper-level shear from the southwest. Once inland and moving north-northeastward over eastern North Carolina, Charley will continue weakening as a tropical storm. Some mostly minor tree and power line damage is possible along Charley's track with some small storm surge along the coast. Heavy rain and some flooding will continue along the projected path as well as Charley races through the eastern Mid-Atlantic and New England to reach New Brunswick in the Canadian Maritimes by early Monday.

Prayers are still needed with the threat of tornadoes.
I did not hear or see much in this thread last night about tornadoes.
