Bye Todd...
Oh my God, put that pic up beside one of Andrew hitting...
It's hard sitting here knowing one of the most beautiful areas of my state is being ripped to shreds.
Step away from the keyboard...
Please stop with the Charlotte Harbor stuff. A lot of elderly folks live there by the water. This storm wasn't supposed to hit there and it wasn't supposed to be so strong so maybe they didn't have time to move or were afraid to drive. And sometimes old people are stubborn and just won't go.
everyone meet back here in a week?

HE'S IN A VAN!!?? I thought he was in a building! Damn, that's stupid...
"I love it when morons like you show up to stroke the egos of other morons who like to play God on bulletin boards. The truth is, neither one of you idiots knows what is going to happen with this storm."
How about you knock off the personal attacks, OK?
Oh yeah, also do a search on Dennis past posts. Loke especially at his posts on hurricanes for the past few years and compare them to what the hurricanes did. Also, don't forget to ask him about what his job is.
He's not an idiot. He stayed in a Holiday Inn Express last night.
It only takes me 2 hours to DISNEY,1hour and 45 minutes to get to Palm Beach Gardens, another 10 minutes to the beach. One problem is that once you discover the area, and move there you tend to run your mouth and then others move there. Then it does not seem so wonderful with the sprawl that comes with the territory.
" Looks like I picked the wrong day to go kite surfing"
we were ready to evacuate for Gloria, but in the last hour before landfall - we watched the track and saw that the eye would go just east of us, so we wouldn't be in the dangerous northeast part of the eye, so we rode it out.
to be honest - that "perfect storm" halloween nor'easter/super storm that they made the movie about, that was the worst thing we've seen here (since 1938). our street was the ocean, or the ocean was our street, depending on your perspective.
Wow, it sounds like Charlotte Harbor is an absolute disaster with the strongest winds tearing everything to hell.
Charlotte Harbor filled with debris. Glass breaking out of the Holiday Inn...from Darwin Award candidate Todd Drabowski in the eye of the hurricane!
Hugo came ashore at Charleston SC and it hit Charlotte NC as a hurricane.
Yeah. Like the Darwin award candidate reporter, who is now in the eye.
