George and Laura Bush to be on with Larry King for the full hour tonight. I don't usually watch LKL because of his lame questions. But it should be interesting.
Tell them idiots W!!!
I had to go to the kitchen and finish dinner, so I've been listening but not watching.
He sounds sooooo ELOQUENT!!!!!!
Thanks
re: 7 minutes. I wish he'd said something about how they had to secure the area before he left anyway. Grrrr
She has an aura (and I've never used that word before as it's too touchy feely for me ... LOL). But she projects a serenity without being cocky like Hitlery.
Not when you look at the entire segment and the first question he was asked and his answer. He refused to say those vets don't have a right to raise their concerns and the way I heard it he basically said they have that right. But he then drew the line that HE would not do that.
LK: You went into war alone.
President: Tony Blair doesn't think that.
LK: Well in comparison...
President: We have 30 nations serving with our troops. It denigrates the contributions of other countries. The leaders of these countries have made sacrifices like we have.
Great answer when asked how we went it alone to war. "Tony Blair wouldn't think that"
I've never watched LKing much.
I find his being there with the President of the United States (and I assume this interview is being done at the White House) without a jacket to be very disrespectful.
Also, King's leaning onto the table, elbow on table/jaw resting on hand. And leaning forward with an 'in your face'.
I repeat, I've never watched LKing much.
Laura's ducks are all in a row, that's for sure!
LOL
Hi dahlin.. this will be my cable/dish, doncha know?
President: I think to say we've gone alone, really denigrates the efforts of all of these other countries.
He can slap down Larry lies so very kindly, I don't know how he maintains his composure!
GWB seems relaxed and confident. That is a good sign.
McCain for intelligence czar?? Terrible idea. We lose a seat in the Senate then and the GOP can't afford that.
Glad you transcribed that. I amsick of hearing the "unilateral" diatribe.
Not really. I think that makes it sound then that he was afraid of leaving the room (at least that would be how the MSM would toss it). I think what he did was perfect in the way he handled it that day..and the way he responded to LK about it now.
He sounds great.
AND, I hope at the appropriate time (like the debates) he slaps Kerry with Kerry's 1997 Crossfire comments that he thought it would show leadership on Clinton's part if he dealt with Iraq REGARDLESS of the UN Security Council!
And, Kerry had some rather harsh words for France and Germany.
(Link provided upon request for those who haven't seen it) LOL
Interview is being conducted in a Hotel but a jacket would certainly have been in order.
