Since O'Neill will be the guest, I'm sure it will be "hardball". However, after what he encountered on Crossfire with Carvile (sic) & Leapin' Lanny Davis, this'll probably feel like a walk in the park...
sorry about the 45 thing...I've been told I'm posting too violent a comment, so I've appologized
Hurley's other answer..."even John McCain said..."
Crissy actually said to O'Neill when O'Neill told him 17 of the 23 officers who were Kerry's peers were against him that "most naval officers from the Viet Nam era are Republicans". WTF?
anybody else notice that when O'Neill started talking about Cambodia Chrissy cut him right off?
That's a lie!
He's lying!
They're lying!
I'm getting really sick of this "They're lying" BS. If they're lying, then provide some proof to back it up!
Kerry did the most for Hanoi.
I'm sorry, Kerry didn't do anything for this country. On the contrary, he did much against this Country.
actually he is exactly the kind of DemoncRAT I respect. He is the ultimate in patriotic, a true hero and a man of his own conviction. He voted for Perot and is not a Michael Moore-on or demagouge. There are plenty of wise, fair & decent DemoncRATs, Zell Miller comes to mind and others.
Crissy cut him off at every turn and let Hurley go on without interruption.
Amazing. Matthews won't let him speak...and when Oneill busts him ...Matthews has the nerve to say that it is a "conservative trick" to point that out.
NO CHRISSY...ITS THE TRUTH.
Matthews will have a trancript of this on his site on Fri.
Read it. I bet he edits it. All you will see, if he does not, is replies by Oneill..where he gets one word of a long phrase out....and Matthews cuts him off.
Totally Shameless!
Matthews showed extreme bias tonight....even for the Main Stream Media.
My email to motormouth:
Hey Chris, You're a disgrace. If you didn't want to hear what O'Neill had to say you should not have invited him on. You're false accusations regarding his "Republican" background was laughable as is you questioning anybodys military service.
You don't want the truth Chris because the truth destroys the myth that John Kerry is a hero. He is simply another American who served honorably in Vietnam but dishonored both himself and his shipmates by falsifying reports and accusing them all of being war criminals.
Regards,
J Walsh
No, he doesn't have to get louder or fight back harder. He handled it just right. He came off looking like the only sane one on the show. Not only that, he has the facts on his side. Matthews and Hurley didn't touch him...and anyone watching it, with an open mind, came away with the fact that O'Neill is telling the truth.
LOL
Chris counts the time he uses to interrupt O'Neill as O'Neill's time ;-)
Absolutely disgusting display and rant, even for Matthews. Never providing the ever-polite and unflappable O'Neil an opportunity to speak (I only saw the last 10 minutes). And Hurley only repeating the mantra "War Hero, War Hero, War Hero." I wanted to gag.
You ought to be. Just to be technical, I have heard that the 22 is the tool of choice. And they usually use two little lead thingys. I wouldn't know, it is just what someone mentioned a few years ago..
You were right about one thing. It would be interesting tv, but probably not appropriate.
He did and added he didn't think his voting habits were relevant. Chris was acting like a prosecutor and he was going to prove the witness was lying about not being a REPUBLICAN.
Later when Chris inserted his "That's a particularily conservative trick" comment it was plain that Chris has chosen to just believe because he wants to, that no matter what evidence there is to the contrary, O'Neill just must be a REPUBLICAN.
Side note: Keith Olberman talking McGreevey and hauls out Arianna! LOL
Yes - O'Neill said that their investigators had interviewed Kerry's "Band of Brothers" and they refused to talk anymore after Kerry's advisors shut them off for admitting Kerry was lying about his phony Cambodia fraud.
Was this a news show or were we just behind the junior high school gym, bullies vs. the class president?
I was wrong. I thought Matthews would give him a fair shake.
Hanging my head in shame
In the grand scheme of things, both interviews were non-events.
