But then, I come from a background (black) where a few curves and a few pounds are appreciated.
And since life can never run smooth, I've been cursed w/having the hots for white guys, who tend to think that skinny blond chicks are attractive. oy.
Culture does have a lot to do with it. And back when I was in school and had a lot of friends from different backgrounds, the American girls who were white would always be talking about weight,etc. and the black girls would talk about nails and hair. Back in my parents' countries, I'd not be fat at all. I live in a predominantly black area and how a certain shape is looked at is different but that's another thread entirely *LOL* Going out into the dating scene I can see why girls OBSESS over weight and the way they look.
OH yeah I forgot... guys from the South usually don't mind a girl with some child bearin' hips *LOL* This is good because I think I have room for a litter.
'Scuse me, but a lot of white guys go for curves too. Though you'd never know it by looking at the actresses and fashion models (chosen by sodomites) who dominate the media. Time and time again I tried to convince various female friends and dates that their natural "breeder hip" curves were VASTLY more attractive than those of the androgynous boy-hipped freaks that grace the cover of Cosmo, etc. To no avail -- the sodomite media has such control over women's minds that I couldn't convince most of them that they were attractive.
Also, I work in an industry that hires models for advertising, and I've gotten into vehement debates with our advertising people (all women) about this issue. When I told them that they could save some $$ by doing the ads themselves because they were more attractive than the models they were hiring, they were flattered -- but they still didn't believe me. They think I'm a rare exception, not the norm.
(One girl that I dated, however, believed me... and made a point of wearing a pair of tight 501s and going up the stairs ahead of me, somewhere around our 4th or 5th date. I married her.)
However it's important to make a distinction between natural feminine curves, and just plain fatness. There's a big difference. Most men go for curves, but very few go for the obese.
