You can add Narcissistic Personality Disorder to the list of John Kerry's Axis II Diagnoses.

Kerry lied about us and humiliated us when he came home and told LIES about what we were doing in Vietnam. He continued to tell LIES over the years to embellish his status as a politician assuming the role of the courageous antiwar protester defying the evil Nixon and supporting the downtrodden people of Vietnam or, when necessary, as the brave Naval Commander leading his loyal "band of brothers" into battle against the evil and murderous VC. It is all out there now and it is time to set the record straight. The man is a fraud and an opportunist. We have a bloody shirt to wave also and ours has the truth written on it. The Swifties have cojones to stand up to the attacks that are coming at them but they have right and the undying admiration of their generation that went to SEA behind them.

Somewhat on topic, it's not often that padded-out "Director's Cut" re-releases actually manage to drag down the original but that is just what Apocalypse Redux does, makes you realize what an overblown, over-hyped mediocre mess Apocalypse Now really is.

As to Kerry's remarks, South Vietnamese troops five miles into Cambodia? It is to laugh. There were vast areas of their own country where they wouldn't go, much less Cambodia. Unless they were shooting with artillery this is absurd on the face of it.

Great find.
Kerry suffers post-tramatic stress syndrome. Or, he's just a nutcase.

First Nixon wasn't president and second he commanded a swift boat not a PBR. As I understand it only the water jet driven PBRs went that far up river.

"On more than one occasion, I like Martin Sheen in "Apocalypse Now," took my patrol boat into Cambodia"
Good grief. Walter Mitty was a rank amateur when compared to this nutjob. I gather alot of Kerry's fantasies run parallel to Martin Sheen's screen life, someone needs to tell him that Sheen is an ACTOR, he was never in the military and never actually faced hostile fire in combat. It was a MOVIE. Moreover, Martin Sheen is not, I repeat NOT, the current resident at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue.

And who the hell pluralizes the word "shrimp" with an "s"?! Did he wash them down with beers? Well the second depends on the circumstances "a six pack of beer", "a couple of beers" are both correct.
but "I had shrimps and beers" is double wrong.

Hey Dennis! Someone needs to forward this scan over to Rush. I heard Rush today talking about Kerry his Cambodian Christmas fantasy but he seemed to think this fantasy started during a Senate speech in 1986. This scan is also important since it shows that his whole fantasy began in a movie review he wrote in 1979 where the movie blended in with his own fantasies.
BTW, if I get up the energy I might scan my AWARD WINNING comix parody of Apocalypse Now called Apocalyse Wow and post it here. However, someone out there should try to forward the MOVIE REVIEW over to Rush. (Hey, and I thought Algore was the only politico doing movie reviews).

I notice, reading Kerry's movie review, that he claimed that he went into Cambodia SEVERAL TIMES.

Gotta love the irony!
"...Coppola got carried away with his own trip. Scenes that had great potential were ruined because Coppola didn't know when to stop."
I believe we call that sort of statement "projection."

John Forbes Kerry Please, it's now John Fraud Kerry.

I don't know. I haven't printed it out. But I would certainly think it should come out ok. If you'd like the FULL size pic, let me know via Freep mail and I can send you an email of the original size pic. It is pretty big, though, fyi. (Showed to be around 2 MB).
