Discovered remains of an extraterrestrial vessel in Siberia (scientists)
Russian scientists affirmed to have discovered the remains of an extraterrestrial spaceship fallen in 1908 on the site from Toungouska, in Siberia, brings back Wednesday evening the Russian agency Interfax.
The scientists, who belong to the Fund of the space phenomenon of Toungouska, also on the spot found a stone of 50 kg which they sent for analysis to Krasnoyarsk, town of Siberia.
The cataclysm of Toungouska, which has occurred in a desert area of Siberia, constitutes one of the greatest scientific mysteries of the 20th century.
June 30, 1908, which could have been a meteorite exploded with a few kilometers of the Toungouska river, causing a shock wave perceived to hundreds of kilometers to the round and devastating 2.000 km2 of Siberian forest.
But the exact nature of the body which exploded and its origin remain a mystery.

"extraterrestrial spaceship "
I, for one, welcome our new Redundant Overlords...
Wait a minute, Art Bell was onto this story years ago. Nevermind.
aliens, Russia, Star Wars, Evil Empire, this is all starting to make sense!!
"Toungouska was Bush's fault. "
No, it was one of Saddam's WMDs...
Hell I don't care, it is gonna be one heck of a tourist trap now that the cat is outta the bag, "I got dibs on the Beer and Vodka Concessions"
Investors please note the following:
Each Investor that sends me $1,000,000.00 will get a 25% share.
Those that send me $100,000 will receive a 2.1% share.
But wait there is more! Every investor will get unlimited access to both the Beer Booth and the Vodka Den!
I'm sure these Russian investigators will get
some naive people to send them money. Isn't
that what all of this space alien non-sense
is about anyway -- money?
The 'Cold' War is back....'On'.....
':-(
China ops?
Probably so.
Some pictures of the Moon show what some folks claim looks like a trailer park. That technical device they found in Siberia is probably someone's missing tv remote control. Dang things always turn up in the most unlikely places.
Nope, it was not an alien craft, antimatter, black hole, nuclear explosion or any other exotic event. (Occam's razor)
Recently we have improved the tools that model meteorite impacts in the atmosphere. When a meteor hits the atmosphere it can be traveling more than 15 kilometers per second. The shock of the atmosphere itself can cause some stony meteors, depending on a specific diameter and velocity, to explode prior to impact (this particular one is thought to have been somewhere around 30 to 50 meters in diameter and traveling approximately 15 Km/sec). Evidence that backs this up is that bits of rock have been found imbedded in the trees that match the composition of the usual stony meteorite.
Okay whats the score here... We have lost what...??? maybe 3 space ships.... and the aliens have lost at least 3 to 4 times that amount.... What the hell do we want that two bit technology for anyway?
Let's look at this through the classic american eyes...
What kind of mileage you get with that thing...? And did they throw in the undercoating for free?
Damn it we want the truth!
The origin of the alien spaceship is inconsequential. I'm simply gratified to know that skerry's Mother Ship has finally been identified....
Oh, come on. Everyone knows the Ganglkplyztz race-- the only race with exploration rights in this part of the galaxy-- uses only non-explosive dilithium crystals. How would one of their scout vessels cause an explosion of *that* size?
Ugh... I hate when people just don't think these things through!
They also found a rock weighing about 50 kilograms and sent it to Krasnoyarsk for analysis.
TUNGUSKA METEORITE PROBLEM IN THE LIGHT OF THE SO CALLED MARTIAN METEORITES
excerpt
deer stone aka (enigma-/John's) stone
The discovery of a mysterious boulder (enigma-stone, deer-stone, Johns stone) in the epicentre of the Tunguska catastrophe in 1972 imparts a particular acuteness to the development of this trend and gives an unexpected turn to the study of the Tunguska meteorite. The boulder is a quarz-disseminated conglomerate-gravelite sand-stone belonging to highly strong sedimentationrock consisting by 98.5% of SiO2. There are evident signs of its high speed deceleration in the local permafrost sedimentations after the intrusion of the boulder into the soil from above at the calculated velocity of not less than 500 m/sec. The direction of the intrusion coincides with the probable azimuths of the trajectory projection of the Tunguska cosmic body.
Anti-matter containment system failure. Duh! And you want other people to think things through.
Women and minorities were hardest hit.
Along with working families, no doubt.
LOL
Exactly.
I remember reading a book about this in the '70s. The object changed course to avoid a populated area. When it exploded, it left a radioactive footprint. The Russian scientists treated it as a anamoly. It is one of this planet's great mysteries.
