Explosion rocks gas storage facility in Liberty County
Evacuation order lifted after a few hours but the flames could continue for days

Duke Energy's Moss Bluff storage facility:
• Location : Liberty County
• Length : Connects with five major pipelines
• Capacity : 16 billion cubic feet in three caverns
• Ownership interest : 100 percent
MOSS BLUFF - A voluntary evacuation order was lifted hours after natural gas from an underground storage cavern exploded near the Liberty-Chambers county line Thursday morning, sending flames 150 to 200 feet into the air and waking nearby residents.

Israel said to be preparing strike against Hizbullah

BEIRUT: A Western European diplomatic source said Friday that his country had information that Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon was poised to strike at Hizbullah.

The military strike, which is likely to precede the Nov. 8 US presidential elections, could be a serious blow to the Lebanese side, unless the Lebanese government acts wisely to prevent such an attack.

Certainly that explosion was a mere coincidence. Couldn't be anything else...connects with 5 major pipelines (wonder when the last time was that they checked for leaks on this line? I would think that someone would have been responsible to monitor those lines for just such an occurrence on a set timetable.
