Having an 'in' in pharmeceuticals is exactly why I quit!
I used to work for a "spin-off" company of one of the pharmaceutical giants. How does sales meeting in St. Lucia sound to you? Write-offs are wonderful for them and help them to contain their costs. Haven't seen them doing much to help US contain their costs to us however. Pharmaceutical lobbyists and company donations to political campaigns help keep them at their lofty "can't touch me" position. Until they are brought to complete accountability (which will never happen because they will "fudge" the research numbers), it'll continue to be a hard pill for us to swallow.
