Just have a little bit to check in folks, so heres an update on the Chesapeake Bay/Tidewater area.

Its been raining like crazy, and we are already starting to flood in some places. The winds are supposed to start in about 2-3 hours, and I have completed my preps and finished my shopping.

Everything is staged. Now comes the wait. I dont expect this to be too bad, but I may lose power for a few days and be out of the loop.

Gonna take a nap now, because this will be an evening/nightime hurricane for us, and I hate those the worst.

Thanks for all the prayers and concerns, folks.

The storm is being downgraded to a TS as of the new advisory but rain will still be a major problem for many areas on the East Coast.

The cloud shield has made it up to CT now and TS warnings are up for the coast. Looks like Charley will pass right overhead this area tomorrow morning.

Stay safe down there.

Just starting to get the rain here. Heard from my family in Sarasota and they dodged the bullet (their livingroom is 8 feet above sea level and they are on a cove.)Prayers going up the trees don't come down!
